I enjoyed everybody's comments. Thanks for taking the time to express your views. David of Idaho, I'll see what I can do.

More than a moderate progressive, Obama is a pragmatic. One trouble with partisan ideologues is that try to heap people all in to one pile. Us Dems are not all the same. Even tea party people don't realize that Republicans are not all the same. They even have, gasp, liberals. The right wingers hate Obama for one reason, he's not a Republcan. They would hate any Democrat president. They view all Democratic presidents as illegitimate even though they were elected by the people. They tell us they love the constitution, but only if it serves their views. Instead of telling us how much they hate Obama, maybe they should tell us who they would support. As far as I can tell, they don't like anybody except for people who have zero chance of getting elected.

"Obama 'Never a Left-Wing Progressive',"

Really? He sure fooled me.

But then, I suppose, it takes one to know one.

Feingold? Really? Of all the themes and topics to write on you instead devote your time, talent, and energy to prop a progressive, has been, liberal hack. Come on, Jaime, you can do much better than that.

Feingold is a super person. Wish Wisconsin was bright enough to re-elect him - but they seem to have been bought by the Koch lobbyists that brought us the idot governor.

Obama was never a left wing extremist - ran on a moderate platform. He did not promise to do most things other than what has been done. A few things dropped based on opposition. Congressional obstructionism made it impossible to complete many things he would have done.

I wish more diverse voices existed in Congress. Just as we need conservative voices, true progressives also are needed, and there are very few in office at this time.

Russ - glad you are staying active. Please lend a positive voice to the re-election campaign for the president. You can't want any of the current slate offered by the GOTP, so show that you understand that the President is a good man who is closer to your ideals - and go out and rally sleeping Democrats.
