The "author" is not writing straight news. In case you hadn't noticed, this is an opinion column.

Thomas was not targeted because he's black, or because he's married to a white woman.

He was targeted because he sexually harassed an employee, who contemporaneously told four professional acquaintances, and the story reached a Federal law enforcement agency charged with doing background checks on judicial nominees.

Sometimes things really are as simple as they appear.

trying to read the article in an unbiased way, the author, Jamie Stiehm, loses all credibility in the way she wrote her piece. Instead of fair and balanced, she interjected her prejudices instead of presenting facts and letting the readers decide. Just more biased journalism that has turned america's stomach and made it look elsewhere for it's news.

Steihm,

Flying the Byrd doesn't add credence to your arguement.

For Mrs. Steihm, Byrd, a former KKK member, is suddenly a credible source.

Thomas' observation of a high tech lynthing of an uppity black man is spot on considering the charge against him was led by Byrd, the former Klansman.

Byrd is nothing more than a blight in American politics. At best, he was, and apparently still is, a functional yet useful idiot by Democrats and their demogoguery.

I have several African American colleagues at work who are constsntly making comments regarding the needs for "blacks" to act " black". One told me that any african ameerican who voted for a republican is an Oreo (black on the outside, white on the inside). Given that level of distain for not behaving "properly" in the eyes of the african american community, it does not surprise me that prominent african american conservatives are attacked by the own community. I have always wondered if the accusations directed at Thomas had anything to do with the fact that his spouse is not african american.

You are certainly allowed to admire her ALL YOU WANT.

I__ ASSUME __ Anita Hill IS well versed in the law being she is a law professor. If memory serves me Anita Hill had dealings in sexual harassment cases before incident with Clarence Thomas when he got his position as Supreme Court Judge.

Anita Hill is is not a helpless little puppy dog against the BIG BAD WOLF. Was delayed accusation of sexual harrassment by accuser who was HIGHER KNOWLEDGABLE in that field.

Nellie save your tears for the true victim. Although Thomas won, he has folks like you believing a non-credible witness__ Ms Hill__ A jilted woman's scorn...

Remembering Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill, 20 Years Later....

Remembering Billy The Willy Clinton and; Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Kathleen WiIley, Monica Lewinsky, Juanita Broaddrick, Christine Zercher, Debra Schiff and countless others brought to Clinton by the Arkansas State Police One Night Stand Procurement Team.

DItto for John, Robert and Ted Kennedy, Franklin Roosevelt, John Edwards, Martin Luther King, Eliot Spitzer and Quasi-Con Ahnold...

Now, what were the alleged crimes of Thomas and Cain? Oh yeah.... they told "sexist jokes".

Boy Jamie, your blind hate for all things traditional and conservative has really caused you to stumble over the leftist-wacko cliff.

Anita Hill lied. Period. End of story.

I really admire Anita Hill and always have. I watched those hearings and my heart broke for her.
