Martin Luther King deserves the respect of a monument in DC. Its timely to for Kings statue to be christened with the attention of the nation is on jobs, the focus of King's work when he was assassinated.

Real Americans are still suffering from the economic injustices that King was fighting against when he was helping a union struggle in Memphis.

Wish I could be there and I would be marching for jobs, too.

BTW the other thing Obama should find out is that the new King statue was "Made in China". Another clue of what's wrong with our economy.

Since when is trying to keep the nation from going bankrupt similar to “akin to Alabama's Bull Connor who turned fire hoses and police dogs on civil rights marchers. After a summer of setbacks, notably on a bad debt ceiling limit deal, Obama shouldn't speak lightly of GOP leaders or the Tea Party House freshmen as "folks." Sorry, we're not living the dream yet.” This is a lie. Blacks and whites both are worse off under the fiscal irresponsibility of this economic idiot in chief, and it has nothing to do with his skin color, it has to do with his war on business. If you want to say that you believe in the nanny state and creating a class of people dependent on government, fine believe that crap, but don’t try to stir up people with absolute lies. I could just as easily say Obama wants to make us all slaves to the government. I don’t really believe that, I think he truly believes that a European style socialist government is better, but I totally disagree with him. Aren’t you the same person who tried to blame Gilford’s shooting on the TEA party, then when it turned out to be false and when a TEA party member as threatened never had the decency to say that your rhetoric could have contributed? If you want stupid rhetoric to stop, argue issues not lies and crap like you just wrote!

And please do start about how Republicans has overspent in the past, I agree, that is why I hope the TEA party is even more successful, both parties have wasted money in the past.

You mean sort'a a Marley - Scrooge thing?

I don't think so. I mean, I can see Old Abe rollin' over in his grave at Obama's lack of character and honesty. But, advice? I think he'd just say, "Mr Obama, you are president during a time of national crisis that requires a leader of self sacrificing courage, resolve, honor and character. Clearly your deeds and values are not those of such a man. You're redemption can only come from admitting your weaknesses, suppressing your egocentricity and drifting into quiet obscurity."
