GOP's Debt Ceiling Fight Is About Bringing Down Obama

While those we elected to "serve " us in Washington fight like school children, the United States debt continues to rise as shown here:

http://viableopposition.blogspot.com/2011/07/washingtons-books-for-june-2011-heading.html

In the last 9 months alone, the United States has added nearly $1 trillion or 7 percent to its debt.

Kind of seems like Nero fiddling while Rome burned, doesn't it?

You are wrong about the bonds between Obama and his party. This is another media myth, which is all our media is today. Absolute falsehoods and distortions dispensed to the unknowing public. Its the PRESS and its profit first agenda that is taking us down. Good lord! Look in a freaking mirror.

What's wrong with that is the GOP are will to deep six the entire nation to fight their political gamesmanship.

The problem is the GOP wants to replace democratically elected officials with fascist paid mercenaries to do the bidding of billionaires who hate average Americans so much they're willing to turn this country into 3rd world country. Voters be damned, moneyed misinformation is tell who to vote for and what to vote for.

John from Ca,

Your language detracts value from you comment. It is politically incorrect to use "tard" in polite conversation. An ad hominem attack only supports the person you are attacking.

Uh.... What's wrong with that? Hey, any tool in the bag so long as it works. In a pinch, I've been known to beat a nail with a wrench. Obama is a miserable shadow of a man and a moral monster - he must be dethroned in any way possible.

Say, speaking of pathetic men and moral monsters, I see you mentioned Teddy Kennedy, "When Kennedy got his Irish up and roared on the floor, he scared the forest."

Really?

You know it's too bad Teddy Boy couldn't get, "his Irish up" when he ran like a coward, leaving a young woman to drown in the back seat of his car, after he drunkenly drove it off a bridge. He then hid in a hotel room, concocting a story, for 12 hours before he called the police. I further observe this moral icon had left his, then pregnant, wife at home while he went partying with young single girls - one of whom ended up dead in the backseat of his car. Oh, he was quite the courageous lion.

As you may recall, Joan Kennedy, was driven to alcoholism by Teddy's philandering - finally divorcing the Irish Lion, allowing him to marry a younger woman - while Joan went to a rehab facility. Ah those Kennedy's were certainly "blue bloods" - even if not exactly "true blue" to their wives.

But of course, Ted did pretend to be Catholic (Kennedy tradition, you know) while supporting even partial birth abortion. This may not have endeared him to God, but it certainly did for the Rad-Fems who forgive every sin so long as a man kneels before the altar of abortion.... Just like another one of your heroes, Billy the Willy Clinton.

Tell me Jamie, at night, when you lie in bed, do you find it necessary to adjust your mind around the hard spots of hypocrisy in your character - as others do their pillows?

Will somebody please explain to the Republican Party membership that the games they are playing with the debt ceiling will have the biggest effect on their own party members. When the government defaults, bonds are worthless, stock will fall, and party member assets will lose a tremendous amount of money. Unlike the Wall Street bail-out, there will be no federal money to bail them out this time. I can't believe the business leaders in this country are willing to let their party leaders play this game. The borrow and spend Republicans got us into this mess, they need to acknowledge that and get us out of this mess. I pay a frivolous amount of federal taxes, and it is time we all paid for the services (and wars) we demand from the federal government.

Brian Brady - What exactly does your last sentence mean? I'm so damn sick of teatard rhetoric. You guys a bunch of little sheep that simple repeat the one liners of your teatardy leaders.

You teabaggers are a joke, you're a bunch of sheep. You view all of this as a game. You are literally willing to tear down this country so that you can get a white christian back into office. This will be on you and YOUR children. We will never forgive, nor forget.

I see the Tea Party as Political Terrorist ready to destroy this county.

This is probably the funniest column yet by Jamie.

Not even worthy of rebuttal.

Our economy is being held hostage by right wing terrorists.
