Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, the Mad City Machiavelli

Police and fire DID NOT support Scott Walker. They endorsed Tom Barrett. WLEA (State Troopers, DMV, UW Police) supported Walker and have since retracted that support publicly. The Milwaukee police department supported Walker but that is it. The WPPA the largest police union in the state endorsed TOM BARRETT. I just want to make that clear. There has been quite a bit of misinformation about this particualy topic.

He says what he means and he does what he says he will. Even in private conversations (hello fake Koch "wiretap" call), he's the same guy.

He's driven and dedicated to cutting taxes and returning Wisconsin to a position where it may compete nationally and globally for business, and jobs.

Cut through all the demagoguery and partisan politics and you might find an appreciation for Walker. The public unions hate him because they haven't been able to buy or bully him like the state Democrats. The rest of us love him for it.

It is ironic that a man who was disqualified for cheating during student government elections at Marquette, and one who was not even smart enough to get a Bachelor's degree is now the Governor of Wisconsin and is holding the entire state hostage with his questionable debt reduction plan. I mean Wisconsin is the home state of the esteemed University of Wisconsin, so I did not expect there to be a shortage of human capital in running things but apparently the people of that state have preferred to put one candidate with very little education to run their most important office and its not surprising that he has already messed it up.

Jamie,

You sound a bit over concerned with the "elite idea" of college and elbow rubbing. It is a shame you haven't considered the people that voted Mr. Walker into office. I'm pretty sure a good portion of them have "common sense" as well as good educations, perhaps "even" some college.

But let's stay on the topic -- as many of us understand it, Gov. Walker is leaving salaries on the table for collective bargaining...retirement and health care are to be handled JUST LIKE all those "semi educated masses" called employees and/or employers...

If the teachers are so concerned about "their" students why didn't they stay in "their" classrooms and insist the Democrat 14 vote as they are hired to do? Evidently these "educated" legislators would rather waste money, show their own bias and ignorance and leave the residence of your state "out in the cold"...

PLEASE JAMIE -- GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, REVIEW WHO VOTED FOR GOV. WALKER, WHY THEY VOTED FOR HIM AND HELP GET YOUR STATE BACK ON THE GRID -- YOU FOLKS DON'T NEED THOSE "EDUCATED" COMMUNITY AND/OR UNION ORGANIZERS FROM Washington DC & everywhere else (including Cairo, in spirit) to ruin your state...

...as you usually do in virtually all of your "blogs", please don't mention the fact that he's a mighty good family man! Also, please fail to mention his qualifications to hold public office ".....previously, Walker was the County Executive of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin from 2002 to 2010, and a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1993 to 2002."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Walker_(politician)

...and, most assuredly, steiner, I just know you are not adding any "assumptions" ie:

1) Walker fancies himself a second coming of President Ronald Reagan...

2) Walker must have read Niccolo Machiavelli's classic Renaissance power tract, The Prince...

3) And despite collective anger at his assault on collective bargaining for state employee unions...

...but here's the other rub that leads me to "assume" that you, steiner, are not into "guys" at all, are you?!?!?:

Your quote; "Simultaneously, on the national scene, public school teacher unions, composed mostly of women..."

Hmmmm! Maybe I'll apply to write for US News too! At least, the public will get the "straight" scoop, and if not, well, I can "assume" just as well as you!

Ohio Governor John Kasich needs to take note of this story! They all do, but I'm a bit biased toward my state.
