Time for Obama, Democrats to Show More Fight Against Senate GOP

How about instead of having a party-centric approach we have an issue-centric approach. The ridiculous hate pundits have ensured that no legitimate issue will be discussed on either side. I am sure if I took some democratic bills that have been put before congress and listed the bills without the sponsors few if any of the stalwart posters on here could figure out exactly how they should feel about that legislation. You all know far more about how to be entrenched and obstinate than you do about most of the real legistlation going forward. Lets be clear - no party is blameless. Accept some blame for your own party - learn about the issues and have an opinion - calling a person or a party lying, blameing, and "name-calling" is really just that.

Whether you realize or not you have been compelled into many of these hotheaded opinions by people who chose to emotionalize your perception solely in order to smooth over the chinks in the armor of a policy that from time to time probably screws you over on a much more personal level. Emotion has no place in an educated electorate and yet it has become the stalwart motivator for 90% of its politics. I despair for our country and the mindless standard bearers for each of these parties that cheer the building of the gallows only to find out they are to be the next victim.

Why don’t you pull a conservative concept. Disprove what I say. What a novel approach for a liberal instead of insulting with no cause.

Show with links it is a lie that Bush warned of F/F demise. That video of Congress committee I provided are staged and false.

Barney Frank was wrong:

“Real Estate Blogger Tom Royce said, “Frank, you should remember, is the Congressman who said that the companies were in great shape just before they imploded and are now on the hook for over 400 billion in public assistance. Oh, and Frank is also the one who drove the companies into that situation as he used them as tools of a social experiment forcing lending downstream to borrowers who could never repay their loans. But ignore all that, it does not matter anymore. Now Congressman Barney Frank has a real plan. Just get rid the evidence of Congressional excess and experimentation and let’s start again.”

I call a person an idiot who can face evidence, ignore it, then attack the person who provides the facts. All to preserve his faulty beliefs. But then that is how you justify being liberal. Teddy was the killer and drunk, not me.

Are most liberals like you ? I came from a small conservative site. Liberals became insulters very quickly when faced with facts and figures. They had no bullets. As you don’t.

So insult and keep you liberal ideas. You can not be so dumb as to not know how wrong you are.

It is a fact Bush warned of needed regulation beginning in 2001. That Democrats voted it down resulting in Democrat caused recession. Live in your lala liberal dreamland. Insult away with no justification… You serve you cause poorly.

Its great that you can get drunk and demonstrate how stupid you are. The folly of rehashing the great accomplishments of Bush means you have been oblivious to reality for the last eight years (and probably longer) and are just an Anti-American snake in the grass gullible to swallow any garbage spoonfed to you by scum of the earth. If you think you funny, don't worry one day you might sober up and may yet regret that you're such a traitor to the US to be an idiotic booster of squandering and undermining America. Jihadis couldn't hate America more than you, ill Hedges of MO.

“Bill Clinton's drive to increase homeownership went way too far”

Posted by: Peter Coy on February 27

“Add President Clinton to the long list of people who deserve a share of the blame for the housing bubble and bust. A recently re-exposed document shows that his administration went to ridiculous lengths to increase the national homeownership rate. It promoted paper-thin downpayments and pushed for ways to get lenders to give mortgage loans to first-time buyers with shaky financing and incomes. It’s clear now that the erosion of lending standards pushed prices up by increasing demand, and later led to waves of defaults by people who never should have bought a home in the first place.”

“President Bush continued the practices because they dovetailed with his Ownership Society goals, and of course Congress was strongly behind the push. But Clinton and his administration must shoulder some of the blame.”

http://www.businessweek.com/the_thread/hotproperty/archives/2008/02/clintons_drive.html

Though this article blames Bush partially, I have clearly shown in links Bush wanted regulation changes in 2001. With those changes disaster could have been obverted and would have haulted bad loan practices. Democrats stopped regulations that most likely would have saved us.

So if you want to blame a President(am sure you won't), Bill Clinton.

Bill Hedges of MO 8:36AM February 07, 2010

Instead of stupidly blaming Bush for recession, why not educate yourself to truth. Of couse education my change your political views. Can you accept that ?

Bush began warning in 2001 that regulations were needed for Fannie and Freddie. Which caused this recession. Democrats said all was well and voted it down.

Don't believe a word I say, read and listen to my links. Find your own links. Just don't blindly blame Bush without proof. Just because it occured on his watch. Presidents do not have unlimited powers. Democratic controled Congress have powers to.

don't wanna interrupt your 'crying in your beer' sentimental breakdown, but quit you whining about your lousy ex.

Bush betrayed fiscal conservative republicans, democrats and independents alike. It doesn't take wingnut to know he left things far worse off than he came into office.

so you think you know anything cuz you listen to the fox cheerleaders who were pimping Bush to crash the economy but good. its pretty clear what they think of their own viewers when 0'shrilly routinely calls you idiots. think again and for once try thinking for yourself for a change and don't be told what to think.

what's done is done, blame who you want but we are not going backwards to the same crude the screwed things up so badly. so forget the knuckleheads who caused our self destruction and tell me what your going to do going forward. just quit regurgitating the bush trash

Larry of ID 1:01AM February 07, 2010

Being for regulations does not mean for any ole regulation bill.

Bush vetoed a war budget. Yes he did, check it out. Reason was too much pork.

I often wonder why this concept escapes understanding by some.

Bill Hedges of MO 6:14PM February 05, 2010

It's a fact Bush and McCain wanted regulation that could of stopped this recession. I would like to have seen your face when you found out I was not smoking grass.

You probable believe Gore got robbed in Florida. Another lie. Bush won each count.

But I give you at leastyou read my links. Look it up yourself to be sure.

I don't see you losing your liberalism. At least see that you've got some wrong beliefs because you don't watch Fox. Your channel slates for liberals.
