Gee Dave, lot of people had deferments -some fair /some not, guess you're reduced to vainly sowing seeds of discord .It figures.Cheney didn't fail ,he just ran into the end of his 2 terms. The Obama/Axlerod media twisted McCain's vow to demonstrate tenacity(hundred years) in the fight in Afghanistan .We stayed in Berlin long enough to see the Wall come down.Just like we will be there in South Korea.A commitment to captives of tyranny -made by Democratic Presidents FDR ,Truman & John Kennedy & followed through on by Republicans Nixon,Ford ,Reagan & both Bush Administrations spanned 5 decades is expressed in JFK's inaugural address.

Americans are much worse off with terrorism problems after eight years of Cheney pulling on the puppet strings.

All his deferments from going to Vietnam has been replaced by some illusion of Rambo from Cheney's dementia. Cheney has gotten to be a joke and the punchline has something to do with viagra to stiffen his spine. The question is how many get caught up in Cheney's fairyland daydreams before they fall flat on their face.

Hearing from Dick now just reminds us how mistaken it was to listen to him in the first place.

Cuba has no right to be member nowhere because there are no type of rights there .When you come to human rights where can you turn? The socall organization of human rights only defends criminals they know fully well drugs dealer, murder, and all of those who commit crimes there is no need for a lawyer or a jury they have to sentence to death at once but human rights are so involved too.No countries should accept that organization let them judge their family and who so ever they have, they are a group of corrupted latins where ever the latin americans are there's alway corruptions.

FUERA DERECHOS HUMANA

GET OUT HUMAN RIGHT

Ms.Stiehm, realize that the line we won't cross ...is the starting point for those who wish us harm.P.S. New York ROCKS & GO NAVY!

That article was pure crap and fantasy.

What world are you living in?

9/11 was a man-caused disaster? I was living there, I worked there. I WAS THERE. Easy for a preaching mental midget like this woman to write something from this from the comfort of nowhere. It was an attack -- plain and simple.

WAR ON TERROR!

It is valid.

And for the rest of the whining liberals - watching this administration screw up one after the other is like watching a slow motion train wreck. The whole lot of them are incompetent and this writer may be incompetent enough for a cabinet position.

If you mean "lyes" I have no opinion as to his farming techniques. If you mean "lies," well I'd hope you could narrow it down and rather than just spew a bunch of non-directed "stuff," state exactly what "lie" or "lies" you'd like to address.

As for what I believe or don't believe, you of course can't know that. I can tell you I evaluate information, read source documents (ever read a real bill? I do...routinely) and THEN I determine what I'm going to believe.

First you must recognize that Cheney, as ALL politicians lie. It's the nature of politics. They like to refer to them as "clarifications" or "compromises" but they're still lies to us and to themselves. So given that, Obama lies too. Are you saying he doesn't?

Given an inherently distrustful group of self-serving individuals such as Congress and the Cabinet, what are you going to believe? Not words, but actions. In my evaluation of actions, Obama is far more inconsistent (dare I say dangerous?) on security of this country than any administration before. Both Democrat and Republican.

I have stated I actually read bills and their contents. I did it regularly in my 25 years in government. You? Please tell me how you get your "truth."

WAR ON TERROR!

Say it, play it and dont be a wimp like Obama!

Shut up Jamie - clueless.

Amy ,isn't it uncomfortable with your head stuck in the sand ? Ask the parents of David Berg what to call it.

Talbert of CT 3:18PM January 05, 2010

Are you talking about "truth" according to the gospel of "lyes" by Dick Cheney? Just because you believed those lyes and are living a lye doesn't make it a gospel truth.

You need to relax and get a fresh glass of cool aid.

Jack of MT 3:09PM January 05, 2010

Just? Requires an agreement on a set of principles, rooted in law of all parties. You think other countries base their view of our "justness" on the same set of principles? Grow up.

Caring? As above, to be perceived as caring, the observer must share the same set of principles as the actor. You think Jeffrey Dahmer would perceive Mother Theresa as caring? You think Bin Laden could ever look at our way of life and consdier us "caring." Nice 50 cent words but lack any real meaning or insight.

Thanks for the useless dribble and naïveté I expected from the author. From people who have likely never lived anywhere outside the US and can never understand you'll never have agreement on a single set of priciples from people of different principles. Thank you for validating my belief some people just shouldn't be allowed to vote.

People tortured and killed (other than our soldiers)? You were there? You saw first hand? Let me guess. You read it in the paper? I was there and even I can't claim to truly know. At least I'm the honest one.

"If President Obama and the Democrats look weak" Correction. They ARE weak. They are the ones that traded terror for "man-caused disaster." They are the ones who believe bowing to foreign kinds and royalty will make them "like" us. Here's a bit of wisdom for you. You can't make someone like you, but you can make them fear you.

Go back to your recliner, grab a beer, turn on CNN and refresh your truth of the world.
