After the 9/11 attacks, the Republican congress and administration did not pass a declaration of war against anyone. Who's not taking this war seriously?

Katie of IL should spend some time inside Gitmo after visiting the graves of some the 9/11 victims and get a grip on real life rather than the fantasy world she lives in.

Obama has apoligized and bowed to everyone else in the world including this country's enemies. And Cheney is a friend to this country, even if he isn't best buds with Obummer.

Cheney is the ultimate wingnut these days with his lies and selective memories.

After being totally unprepared for the 9/11 attacks knucklehead Twiddle Dee & Twiddle Dum squandered our economy to the tunes on trillions of dollars to ignore AlQeida by invading Iraq in some numbskull NeoCon fantasy.

Not to worry - no one takes Cheney seriously anymore.

Cheney and Bush kept US safe for 8 years after 9/11, exactly because they defined what we do as "war on terror". You are right to say that "words matter". While I am not sure that "war on terror" is the best definition, it surely beats the hell out of "managing man-made disasters" - the ridiculous phrase that Obama has coined! If you don't want to call what we DO the "war on terror" then we are capitulating and admitting that we lost. Not fighting a war, which was DECLARED on US is tantamount to treason. If we are changing "war on terror" to "management of man-made disasters" then we are sending the message to Radical Islam that we are giving up our right to defend ourselves.

Obama and the Democrats will pay for it in 2010 and 2012!

The threat of terrorists and terrorism is much greater today worldwide. Buch/Cheney's etc irresponsible, unwarranted actions set the wave of hate, distrust for us and our country to a flood stage level. There were mistakes and mismanagement on every level, and, now Cheney is suddenly an expert??

This man has totally lost his mind, what little integrity he

had left and is fueling the ignorant, haters, anti-Americans. If justice is ever done he will behind bars for his criminal

activities and traitorist behavior.

Cheney/Bush policies united America's enemies, divided our allies, depleted our moral authority as well as our treasury. Over 1 million civilians left dead in Iraq, thousands of Americans dead or maimed over a fraud sold to us by Cheney-Rove-Rumsfeld and their puppet Andover/Yale somewhat-Texan phony. It is nearly impossible to overstate the damage inflicted on America and the world by the previous administration hiding behind the Orwellian slogan of the "War on Terror". President Obama has begun to repair America and our reputation in the world. Abandoning Cheneyisms is very sound advice.

Americans have an extremely low chance to be crippled or killed by bombs, sarin or other means used in scattered incidents. The horrible 3000 deaths of Sept.11 were a tiny fraction of the US population. As percentages, all terrorist deaths in all nations are very small. Cheney, by "terrorizing" us to "be terrorized," was able to strip us of many Constitutional rights. He was formerly employed by Halliburton, a company that thrives on war & Bush was able to spend billions on their "War on Terror." When Reagan was caught while illegally selling weapons to Iran in exchange for hostages, he began "The War on Drugs." By making drugs illegal, Congress gave them artificially high value. That means a small amount of any kind of illegal drug can be exchanged for lots of weapons. The guns go to drug growers, dealers & "rogue states" who don't need "weapons of mass destruction" to commit aggressive acts. Taxes are wasted to rip out marijuana, coca & poppy plants, and to jail "drug offenders" as part of Big Government. Drugs should be de-criminalized. Long ago, airlines should have been forced to make aircraft safe from attack. They were too cheap to do it.
