Not long ago, Afghanistan was the good war and Iraq the bad. Now that Iraq seems to be going and ending well, the Baby Boomer Liberal Media, failing to sabotage our effort there, has decided to ignore it and demonize the Afghan war and the Americans there.

Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran (??) When decisions are based reactive emotion rather than as targeted responses, the careful development of an exit strategy is brushed aside as either too difficult to formulate or subject to too much review and subjective criticism. “Dam the torpedoes!--i.e. consequences of our actions. Full steam ahead!--despite the effect” is the metaphor in play here. When will the leadership in this country of ours learn this important lesson?

Always thinking of TX get off the right wingnut SHRUB philosophy of propaganda. We heard that rubbish for 8 long years and what did it get us? Deeper in debt and deeper in a war for power and profit for the greed mongers. Time to start thinking for yourself and stop listening to Rush. Always Thinking, hate to tell you, Rush is a fear mongering liar.

Want to end this war fast? Share the toil of war by starting the draft up again. No silver spoons, no college deferments everyone 18 years old goes in the military for a set time.

If this were the case there would be no wars for Uncle Sammy because little Johnny and pretty Mary's parents would be wearing out the streets protesting. These are the ones that fly the fad yellow ribbons saying Support The Troops but what they mean is as long as its not my kid.

Im sorry its gotta be said, if we pull out now what stops them from attacking again. They hate us not because of the U.S. being there, but because of who we are. they have deliberatly attacked us twice unprevoked, USS Cole and 9/11, the latter just pissed us off more. they hate us because we do not worship their Alah. It has nothing to do with OIL, the Qur'an says that if you are not Islamic you are an infidel and you should be irraticated from the earth. Jesus tells to love another human regaurdless of the religion. Who is on the right side of the battle.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. We need to get out of Afghanistan, now! We're suffering incredible losses of life and accomplishing very little (if anything). Another 40,000 troops means another 10 years of war before we're facing the very same we face today--have we helped them? Have we accomplished anything? The answers will be then, and now, are the same. NO! Get US out of there, now, Mr. President!

jamie, you are right. our troops does deserve better. however, how do we get out now with out more bad news about the people of afganistan( the women and children) who also suffers the most.

Another thing, obama is not to be blame for what happen in texas. the only solution is putting an end to this senseless war, but HOW?????????
