Not Another Summer of Tea Party Anger

The working poor don't have money to pay taxes and they don't legally owe federal taxes. Their low wages are punishment enough.

It is interesting that the very people who are funding this country (the 50% who do pay taxes) are people who are derided for being angry about being used by progressives. We are not all Tea Party members, but we do believe in many of the same principles espoused by the Tea Party - smaller government, adherence to constitutional, fiscal responsibility. And, as a bonus, we can actually think for ourselves.

crazy wilded eyed racist tax paying , voting American citizens , I must've missed all the action . Where's it all been ? May-be waiting for November .

Kenneth Gladney was alleged by tea baggers to have been attacked and beaten by "SEIU thugs" as the right wing blogosphere puts it. This has been shown to be false and a setup as I have indicated below.

Also, your allegations about ACORN "stuffing ballot boxes" is false. Despite right wing liars who throw poop at the wall hoping it sticks (which unfortunately it frequently does) no one has ever voted illegally after having been registered by ACORN workers. There have been overzealous ACORN workers who have illegally registered people but the incident discovered in time, the workers dismissed and the registration forms discarded. Also, it is the GOP that steals elections through voter suppression and other means not the Democrats. We saw ample proof of that in 2000 and 2004.

of dead people voting , Acorn helping stuff ballot boxes , contested election results if the dems didn't win , black pathers outside the voting sites , hanging chads ( I hate chads ) ,

A November I'm looking forward to , how far will the liberal progressives go this November to turn over the will of the people ??

steve of Ill. , where did Bill mention the SEIU in commenting to this article ?

MM posted this;

Hannity baselessly claims Obama is sending "SEIU thugs" to "physically attack" tea partiers

From Page 193 of Conservative Victory:

[The Tea Party movement] is truly a grassroots movement, not the artificially contrived, conspiratorial "Astroturf movement" the administration has painted. The only thing artificial anywhere near the Tea Party protests were the counterprotests Obama staged, sending in his SEIU thugs to shout down, bully, intimidate, and physically attack the Tea Party patriots.

Hannity offers no evidence for claim. Hannity offered no evidence that Obama was "sending in" people to "physically attack" members of the tea party movement. Hannity's accusation echoes an August 2009 distortion Andrew Breitbart made in which he claimed that "union thugs were directed by the White House to go to" town hall meetings "and 'punch back twice as hard.' " In fact, White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina reportedly used the expressions to which Breitbart referred while speaking to Senate Democrats -- not to any union groups -- and there is no indication it was anything other than a metaphorical explanation of how the White House plans to respond to political attacks against Senate Democrats. Glenn Beck has similarly called SEIU "thugs" in smearing the union for purported violence.

But take a look at the video of the supposed assault. It enters the scene a bit late -- an SEIU member is already on the ground and appears to be injured, but we can't tell what the cause was. As he's laying there, other SEIU members come to his protection, and one of them pulls down Gladney; both men fall to the pavement. Both quickly get back up. There appears to be little to it. [A section of the video showing the supposed assault is in slow motion.]

Indeed, it's readily apparent that Gladney seems completely unhurt. He wanders out to the crowd, chats with the cameraman, flags down a cop, and saunters back to where police decide to handcuff the man who knocked him down. As you can hear, the man protests that he was just keeping Gladney away from his fallen friend.

The next day, Gladney is at the press conference in a wheelchair. He claims to be too medicated to speak, so his lawyers and fellow tea partiers do it for him.

"...a great many people found the claim that Gladney was assaulted especially suspicious given the fact that Gladney did not look injured in the original video and then showed up in a wheelchair several days later at a Tea Party press event."

"Curiously, however, there is no record of charges being filed against Gladney’s alleged attackers. And Gladney’s Website is down..."

The whole Kenneth Gladney "incident" was purely a staged affair.

We are with you on looking forward to November 2. Follow what just happened with voters in Shelby County, TN. News from Memphis: The Republicans won EVERY contested county position from the mayor to the sheriff on down. They did this in perhaps the most left-leaning county in the state. How left-leaning is Shelby County? In the 2008 election, Obama won 63% of the Shelby County vote, including 100,000+ more votes than McCain!" We will be heard!

Al of GA of GA 2:42PM August 06, 2010

The five Republicans who voted to confirm the evil woman were sellouts. They simply did not listen to their constituents and, as with the Democ-rats who voted for her, her votes on the Supreme Court will be held against them, especially Lindsay Graham who should know better.

The Democ-rat Party "made its bones" destroying the greatest legal scholar of the 20th Century in a series of "hearings" calculated to do just that. They kept former Cabinet members sitting on hard benches in the back of the hearing room effectively preventing a former Secretary of State and Attorney General from speaking for Robert Bork. The Democ-rat Party, a coalition of scum, slime, filth, vermin and manure is entitled to the same respect it and its institutions gave to President Bush (both of them)--NONE!

Republicans who vote with The Scum should be purged. Indeed, the ONLY "brave" senator yesterday was BEN Nelson of Nebraska, a Democ-rat who voted like an American!

..“the Tea Party grabbed headlines around the country as being the baddest new political force on the block”

They did a poor job “being the baddest”. Men in union shirts beat them up. Several videos in fact. We got blamed for Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance.

With videos and audio equipment all around those bad tea party people spit and said racial thing. None heard or seen by police. None recorded either. There on steps of Capital.

Yeah only tea party does such things. Maybe I should be calm and collected like a liberal. Do they still protest at Bush’s house ?

Looks like polls agree with us. Elections held has agreed with us.

Our fault ? THANKS ! I’LL TAKE THE CREDIT.

Bill Hedges of MO 11:36PM August 05, 2010
