Michelle Obama

You know her because: She is President Obama's wife.
She would like you to forget: When the "kiss cam" at Washington D.C.'s Verizon Center focused on the first couple while they watched a basketball game there, Michelle Obama refused to kiss her husband, spurring boos from the audience. (She did kiss him when the kiss cam found the couple again).
Democrats love her because: She has led initiatives to aid military families and lower childhood obesity, all while topping a number of best dressed lists. Julian Castro

You know him because: Well you probably don't. He is the little-known mayor of San Antonio, Texas.
Democrats love him because: He is the first Latino keynote speaker at a Democratic National Convention, and parallels have been drawn between him and 2004's keynote speaker, then state Sen. Barack Obama.
Republicans hate him because: He is being hailed as the next Barack Obama.
