Should Mitt Romney Denounce Ted Nugent?

Clinton had a "Sister Soulja" moment and I think one of McCain's finest moments was when he defended Obama when a lady accused him of being a Muslim (not that that needed to be defensed, only corrected... it was as wrong for there to be a stigma on it as it was to try to paint Obama with the stigma).

But the point is, there are certain times where a candidate has a chance to show their character. All of the GOP candidates missed those chances in the debates repeatedly, with Rush Limbaugh and now this. As time passes, I think a denouncement will just look like a measured response rather than a reflection of character, so it won't matter. But I think voters, many of us, are interested in a candidate's integrity and opportunities to exhibit true integrity don't happen all of the time. Romney should have had something strong to say about these comments when he first heard them. But... he didn't.
