TOM,

Its pretty obvious that statement "It has to be paid for somehow" is in the support of raising taxes. If Obama wants to elevate spending, then we (the american people) should be paying MORE in our taxes to support his efforts.

Not just the Rich...

Not just the 1%...

ALL of US!!!

Our tax rates right now are a product of the "Bush tax cuts" and were only suppose to be temporary.

The fact that you deliberately, skim over the cognitive details of the authors intent means that you are either a) delibertly deflecting from the topic or b) just plain ol' "stupid"...

I think it is a bit of both...

David,

What kind of a blathering fool are you and who is your editor. "As long as spending remain high it has to be paid for somehow."

My lord, that's one of the numbest statements I've heard in comment on the US budget in years. You sound like a 7th grader.

My Dad always said that the wealthy got that way because they knew how to save, not spend.. still truwe today...

Alex of OH 10:26AM April 24, 2012

another tax the rich story? Obama has spent over 5 trillion in 3 years, money that he didn't have. Why in the world would you give him anymore money? We have spent our way into trouble.............

mike of OH 12:03PM April 21, 2012

Anyone who would defend Obama's economic policies at this point has a delusional inability to see reality and needs psychictric help.

The liberal mantra:

Tax the "rich" - of course "rich" is a sliding scale so who knows who it will affect next.

Take money away from people because the government can spend it better than you.

Saving money is BAAAAAAAD!

What a horrible, miserable life liberals must lead!

Mr. Derp of AZ 4:37AM April 21, 2012

Stop, whimpering about the tax cuts. Obama just spent over FIVE TRILLION in less than FOUR YEARS. What makes you think he knows how to SPEND WISELY??????

I see the trickle down economic faithful are here in force. Funny, they'll point to lower taxes and give that credit but forget about Bush's weak dollar police, the unsustainable low interest rates, and the fact that the housing bubble were keeping a failing economy afloat. Had people not used the houses they weren't qualified to get into as credit, the economy would have been much slower than it was. The economic growth under Bush was the lowest of any president included the much hated Jimmy Carter.

Reagan was able to cut taxes, run up 2 trillion dollars in debt, and then was forced, FORCED I tell you, to raise taxes a mere 11 times to stop the ballooning debt, raise our debt ceiling 17 times, illegally sell arms to Iran and still come out smelling like a Republican Rose.

As much as you would like to believe that tax cuts increase economic growth, it just isn't so. Bush HAD a weak dollar policy and housing bubble to keep the economy going. It wasn't the tax cuts.

The Bush tax cuts just happened to be around when the housing bubble was there to keep the economy afloat.

This may sting a little but you should read it.

What speaks “volumes” is you rather talk grammar. Can’t disprove the arguments AGAINST BUMA ??? Or stand up for the bum ???

"This speaks volumes!"

With lies like this article no wonder the great 99% are still in the streets. NO Obama in 2012.

The only person who lies worse than this is Obama himself.
