Has Obama Gone Too Far in His Rhetoric About the Supreme Court?

Totally off the charts. Our Founding Fathers wisely separated the branches of government. Obama must feel a special sense of entitlement to think he's above

this highly cherished & most fundamental American precept.

We should remain objective.

The Supreme Court is the third branch of government and the only one that can say what the Constitution means or what it means not. It protects the citizens from the executive or the legislative branches from abridging the rights of the people. As a person who understands how the Supreme Court protects our civil rights the President is way off base in his criticism. Elected officials can pass anything that might violate the Constitution and our rights. The Supreme court can strike down such a law and that's the point Mr. President.

Obama clearly resents the separation of power and checks and balances put in place by our constitution. And, thank God they did it. It appears we need it with the current POTUS we have. What we have here is an unprecedented power grab by a sitting president who has surrounded himself with 45+ unelected czars who answer to none but him, who has ruled by executive fiat bypassing congress. And, now he has the audacity to try to intimidate the SCOTUS. Thank God for the SCOTUS perhaps they will slap his hands, something our congress seems to have a hard time doing.

Anyone, including the President can say anything they want to say about the Supreme Court.

The outrage is childish tantrum.

How dare the Supreme Court question any of King Obama's Decrees!

toby3061 of MN 3:42PM April 05, 2012

It has be obvious for some time Obama does not respect the Constitution. His lack of respect for the Supreme Court is just another example of that fact. All Obama cares about is pushing his socialist agenda.

AngryMobVoter of PA 3:39PM April 05, 2012

Soon we will see whether the US Supreme Court, and US Constitution, provide any protection from the central dictate which leftists, like Obama, embrace so enthusiastically.

Economist60 of WA 3:36PM April 05, 2012

The President's comments are perfectly legitimate, and conservative commentators know it. There is no threat anywhere in his comments, and he is perfectly within his 1st amendment rights to comment on how he believes the Supreme Court should rule. Where is the threat and where is the intimidation? Conservative commentators have been commenting for months on how they believe the Supreme Court should rule.

pffft. cons trot out their "judicial activism" whine about any and every decision they don't like. if they weren't so clueless, the two-faced cons would realize that it cuts both ways.
