Women Agree With the GOP on Birth Control

Oh yes, there was something in our constitutional laws saying there should be a separation between Church and State.

I wonder what happened.

There seems to be an argument between fairy tale thinking and the facts.

It's a shame sick minds like the Church seem to prevail for centuries destroying everything in its path.

What a crime.

The title of your article, Mary Kate Cary, is a misnomer, totally deceptive to the intent of the body. Majority of women are in TOTAL disagreement of the GOP stance on birth control and, especially the inane laws it's legislatures have enacted regards women's rights to decisions about their own bodies. The intrusion into very private, heartfelt decisions they make is no business of males and the law! She will only know how wrong she is after the November elections! YOU could never win a debate!

I'm thinking it's about time these churches that are reading/preaching political stuff from the pulpit ought to lose their tax-exempt status.

Title of this article is misleading. How transparent.

Most women don't agree, and won't agree, that Conservative religious machismo-embodying male representatives and the women who kowtow to them know what's best when it comes to their bodies.

I'm really disturbed at the number of anti-conservatives who think that their tax dollars are somehow supporting religiously-affiliated hospitals. As far as I know, the only time tax dollars come into anything is if Medicaid or Medicare pick up the tab for someone's medical care. What Obamacare requires is that the religious organization pay for everyone elses' contraception/abortion, etc., because the EMPLOYER PAYS FOR HEALTH INSURANCE as well as the employee. Not tax dollars, a direct required payment from the Church to an insurance company that subsidizes abortions. No self-insurance allowed, so there's no way out; no "we'll provide our employees' health care, we don't need an outside insurer". Among the many reasons I will never support a "progressive" (like William Jennings Bryant, a founder of the party?) is that there's no logical thought among 'em.

Well, the ultimate 'poll' is coming up in November so we'll have some results then on how the majority of women feel about the GOP's stand on women.

Hope you'll write an article then with more attempts to convince people that what they see isn't true.

Good luck.

The core issue being distorted applies to organizations founded by/run by religious organizations receiving public, mine and yours, money - tax dollars. Employees working in those organizations should have the option for the coverage, Regardless Of The Employers Beliefs.

Give up the federal cash and go private and they can have their say over the health coverage provided to their followers, however, if they keep my cash from my taxes then they don't have religious liberty to interject their beliefs into their policies that prohibit something that any other person would have the right to have in a publicly funded organization.

"..if forced to choose between complying with a government order they consider immoral and helping the poor..." Good one, the writer must have been a real Standout in creative writing class, because this article is outrageous in it's exagerations, generalizations, and inventions. I can't believe it was written for adults.
