The GOP's Worst Week

Both the GOP and the Dems are finding more weeks gone wrong as the electorate thinks outside the box and finds the right formula that neither major party structure wants..

Liberty, the right of self ownership and access to the fruits of one's own labor.

Peace, the rightful paradigm of non aggression with tremendously powerful means of self defense at the ready.

Party politics falls away and a champion of liberty and peaceful coexistence is near - by the will of the people - to the halls of power. Ron Paul for President, and the mighty voice of the people emergent.

Liberty in our lifetime, peace on earth and good will toward men.

The GOP has no inspiring leader who can instill confidence. In the public so barring something unusual get ready for four more years of Obama.

In reply to Billy, federal funds have not been allowed for abortions for at least 30 or more years. Has nothing to do with Obama.

Billy of CA

Sure. buma is for women ? In your State of CA he was for same sex marriage ? Ah, no WRONG. He helped defeat that. Democrats and buma want bumacare to pay for abortions ? Wrong. Democrats said no and buma signed Presidential order saying no public funds for abortion...

Dream on. It was a great week for Mitt.

well folks, rush's debasement of sandra fluke, and other women who use oral contraceptives for various reasons is just another nail in the republicans coffin with a majority of women voters.

bruce b of NV 1:01AM March 04, 2012

Contraception and debasement of womanhood. This was the most tragic Republican issue from last week, and it it totally fascinating that it is not discussed here! Is it only Obama who will stand up for American womanhood? If the GOP continues it's war on women, they're through.

Dr Billy of CA 4:29PM March 03, 2012

And the author did'nt mention Limbaugh's first rant or second rant. This election will not be decided by Dems or Republicans as party votes party in general. It will be decided by new voters and Independents. Though between Issa's no woman on a panel and Limbaugh's rants there may be some GOP women who change their vote. This was a very bad week for the GOP.

Debbie of CA 11:08AM March 03, 2012

And the author didn't even mention the Limbaugh debacle, which seems to be part of a concerted effort by the GOP to get every woman in America to vote Democratic.

Rush Limbaugh called Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a 'slut' and said that in exchange for having access to health care, Ms Fluke should provide Limbaugh with seqz tape videos. Ms Fluke had spoken at an unofficial Democratic 'forum'.

It seems that the Republicans couldn't find a single woman who was qualified to testify at a Congressional hearing about birth control.

After asking 'where are the women?', the Dems set up the unofficial hearing at which Ms Fluke testified.

At least anti-birth control advocate Rick Santorum stated that Limbaugh was being 'absurd'.

Mitt Romney could only manage a tepid (does he have any other temperature?) statement that Limbaugh's vile remarks, made over several days, was 'not language I would have used'.
