I would say absolutely. What would we have to lose?? A true outsider could only bring a fresh perspective to American politics.... because it appears that nobody is seriously interested in modification of our political system... may as well have someone that has not been corrupted by the American form of democrocry.

Colbert needs a campaign song! Here is a suggestion. It's a song called "Run For Office." It's a satire about power, politics, sex lies, money and greed...all the stuff of politics.
