Those that approve of this, are conservatives who benefit from it. Republicans are doing whatever they can , to make it easier for them to win in 2012.

The big voter fraud is when Republicans rig voting machines and lose boxes of ballot results on election night and the votes never get recorded.

The Kochs and REPUBLICANS ARE un AMERICAN and ANTI-DEMOCRACY and would destroy our democracy if they have their way in imposing state voting roadblocks.

Their actions are TREASON

American soldiers died for the right for ALL AMERICANS to VOTE

Since, many of these people that were mentioned do not have proof of who they are, obviously they should not be able to vote. They need to have a valid ID when living in this country. However, the one person mentioned living in a time of slavery. If you are registered to vote, why wouldn't you vote? Many people in our past fought for the right to vote. We are lucky we have a voice in our world. Why not take this opportunity?

I f I were an elected official I would be a little concerned that there that many people driving around without any proof of who they are. I would think this law would actually help in numerous ways. Since it would force people to get thier ID's straight, which in turn would also update the government records and things like welfare fraud as well ID fraud would significantly reduce. I am sorry but the issue is not why Republicans are making people prove who they are in order to assure American Citizens vote once. The problem is A) Why is so hard for some to get an ID? B) How have these people gotten so far with out one? C) why are some content with not having any accountability in our voting process?

Some one pointed out the miniscule number of voter fraud instances found. I would like to point out without needing any proof to verify you are who you say you are, how on earth would we know if voter fraud existed?

I just can't see any problem with ensuring that our most basic right as Americans is held accountable. If our right to vote becomes tainted then we are no better than any other Dictator out there. So to those who want to villify people suggesting this law and try and find hidden meanings in this, just remember that, when you have to deal with uninsured motorists. Also how can so many people qualify for government assistance without an official ID? That should concern you more than if 2 people in an opinion article have a hard time getting an ID.

These partisan efforts to deny people their most basic democratic rights are repugnant, shameless, and un-American. They must be stopped, and then we must use the voting rights that we do have to vote out of office all elected officials who don't want to be accountable to all their constituents.

Everyone, regardless of party affiliation, should be deeply concerned about the attack on democracy in the US. I am so glad for the documentary and this exposure. We cannot let 2012 be another stolen election.

Anita of DC 9:07PM November 08, 2011

Voter fraud...yawn. Such a ridiculous miniscule issue. Actually counting votes seems to be a bigger issue. O.k. with me if we have a national i.d card (I have one, it's my social security card, but it doesn't have my picture on it.), but my Pub friends would then whine about big brother.

Uh-Oh....

If this things passes Al Franken will be in big trouble.

Somebody remind me - How many dead people, illegal aliens, incarcerated felons and cartoon characters voted for him? And, let's not forget all those who voted 2, 3 or??? times.

Liberals like liberal laws - what a surprise.
