The Conservative Case Against a Border Fence

From the photo in the article you can see for miles. Do you know the range of a Barrett 50 cal rifle? I guarantee every illegal wanting to sneak in would. Those that didn't would find out. One thousand would cover the entire border. Double that number for crossfire. Maned 24/7 you need less than nine thousand people to staff the entire operation. As for cost, the Pentagon budget is 700 billion. I'm sure a few billion could be shifted from Iraq.

It been stated by those that know that that "stupid fence" build in the San Diego sector brought a screeching halt (or close to it) of illegal aliens invading the U.S.

Congress approved and funded the fence building. Now the government is dragging their feet in building it.

In the question of who would build the fence. American citizens are funding the building of the fence with donations. This is indeed a sad state of affairs.

Often times I see these types of stories written by those that haven't a clue as to what the major issues are that affect our nation as a whole.

Irregardless of a persons' immigration status, plain and simple we have drafted and legislated a legal entry point into this country under a system of not only checks and balances but supply and demand.

Without a fundamental headcount of how many people we have here legally, we lose our ability to price goods and services to that we have a semi-balanced free trade ability.

Many people complain about the price of gas and groceries and other costs inflating, yet in another breath they proclaim to want all immigrants to just walk in and do whatevber they wish without consequences.

Well, the bottom line is, if the liberals that want to play hug and tug with illegals, I suggest they dig deep into their pockets and open their doors to them and SPONSOR the illegals. Or will they remain of the NIMBY class? (Not In MY Back Yard).

If you pay close attention to the American citizens that often times openly complain about issues, you will soon realize that 1) They haven't a clue based on any facts, 2) They often times are not registered voters and 3) They never offer any solutions to the problems they complain about.

Then there are those of us that live on the borders or own property along the borders, or have patrolled along the borders on behalf of the property owners that cannot and know beyond a reason of doubt that the illegal immigration issues brought into this country are ripping apart the nation's profit margin and sinking the American dream much faster than the idiot that somebody voted for and put into the White House.

I offer this, you want to run your mouthes in support of illegal immigration? Then spend 30 days with me along the borders doing patrols. If you can last that long.

You might travel to the border and ask the people effected by illegal immigration. How they complained to the govenment and received no response or help.

Now because of the (El Paso Sector) fence the farmers and ranchers don't have to worry about damage or armed smugglers coming across their properties. Take note that there is an 8 mile gap in the fence near Fort Hancock, Texas. You can guess where the traffic is going now. You got it! The 8 mile gap.

How can you possibly state that the fence doesn't work. It looks different from a cubical. The fence works!

I worked a plan to secure the northern and southern borders with citizen patrols for between $25 - $34 million over 5 years. A far cry less that the $500 million the government wants to spend in 1 year.

You're Right - We Don't Need a Fence...

We just need to arrest all those who are here illegally - but don't simply deport them - put them to work on road gangs for the same period of time they lived here and milked social programs illegally.

Problem solved.

Nice language skills and a punchy headline.

This is a CARICATURE of a conservative case. It seems to say that conservatives do not care about people and do not like to spend tax dollars. So let’s just do what cost nothing and does nothing... nothing. That will warm their fat hard hearts.

The truth is, we have a population who cry big crocodile tears about injustice and lust after illegal intoxicants that fund a murderous narco-terrorism at the boarder. We have “leaders” who lack the courage to do anything except avoid the controversy of standing for anything and pander to every lobbyist with a quid pro quo “contribution.” We have a press who think a google search from Montana is due diligence, who imagine themselves to be journalist by “reporting” only on their vain, naive, imaginations.

A silly, mean, caricature of an article that simply illustrates the problem in the fourth estate. The press has become little more than a cadre of self-righteous mockers who seem to believe that the world desperately needs their next “hit” piece.

We don’t.

Every Non-representative including obama and holder are not upholding the oath of office! they swore to defend the Constitution! If these clowns were to do their job, this would all be a Moot point!

Anchors and their criminal parents go, period, you knew you were breaking the law when you crossed the border.

Next shut down any business hiring illegal labor. Oh and owners go to jail.

Got a better idea? Lets hear it!

Unless I missed something, these authors told us why they think a fence will not be an effective deterrent to illegal immigration but failed to tell us what they think would do the job. That is really just more of the same old propaganda we have heard all along from the no borders anarchists. Bottom line is that they are really afraid they are going to lose their cheap, compliant, slave like work force.

wigglwagon of VA 4:22AM October 13, 2011

So many inaccuracies and so little time. The fence overwhelmingly mandated by both parties was only completed for less than 50 miles. The result was a drop in attelmpted crossings of 95%, rather impressive for a 'National Fence of Failure'!

Now there are the greedy, criminal employers, that have knowingly hired illegal aliens in outright defiance of our laws to the tune of over 7 million by Pew Hispanic Center estimates. The felon illegal aliens make good slave labor, while stealing paychecks from millions of unemployed Americans and their families. We now have a record 46 million Americans living in poverty, one of every five American children living in poverty and many of them going hungry. Of course that is no concern of the callous greedy, criminal employers as long as they get rich off of human suffering!
