What is the biggest public misconception about President Bush?

I think he was a very effective president, a good leader. He made tough decisions and stuck with them. I think he will be regarded as a consequential president when historians write about this period.

What do you think your legacy will be?

Oh, I don't spend a lot of time thinking about my legacy.

What do you want readers to get out of your book?

Well, I hope they enjoy it. I hope they will read it and understand better what it is we did and why we did it.
