I've heard some of the tapes. She portrays JFK as sweet, caring, courageous, smart, ...you name it. I feel like screaming at her and saying "how about unfaithful !!!!!!!!!!!..............", .talk about an elephant in the room

Why was I not shocked by the material in the tapes? Most people assumed Jackie was not quite as glazed as her expression seemed to suggest.

Her jabs at this or that person seemed reasonable for "private" conversation, even if some of the opinions were surprising (or, in the case of her opinion of MLK, manipulated by JEdgar), and her stance on her preference for "Asiatic" marriages both of the era and subtly snarky.

Sure, she might have altered a few of her own comments in retrospect, but, after all, it's been half a century!

I thought the tapes were fun.

How exactly is calling Charles de Gaulle an egomaniac in any way controversial?
