Rick Perry and his prayer rally were despicable. If this isn't mixing church and state I don't know what is. The founding fathers had good reason to include a separation of church and state in the constitution. It's not because they were aethists, if you know your history. That was a deplorable attempt to promote his political position through religious tactics. He just continues to prove that he's a big phony and anyone that's not tainted with their own personal agendas can pick up on it.

Screw Rick Perry.. Ron Paul is the only sensible candidate, he was vastly more experience plus his policies are amazing.. Rick should urge supporters to vote for Ron.. No one will deliver the rights of the individual while cutting gov. spending like Ron Paul.. He has so much common sense it is ridiculous.. End empire building interventionism.. AUDIT AND RESTRICT THE FED if not END IT!!!! End the failed drug war & push legality of drugs onto the state level so states can make MONEY off "drugs" if they want to (legalization of drugs would destroy the black market for them btw..).. Push abortion and gay marriage issues onto the state level so individuals can have more power and rights in how THEY want to define those issues instead of having them mandated to us nationwide..

Ron Paul's only policy that kind of goes over my head is that he wants to reinstate some kind of gold standard.. I've been monitoring alot of youtube video chats and websites about that and alot of people really like the idea but a lot think it will restrict the economy too much.. At this point though, the economy NEEDS to be restricted so I'm supporting Ron Paul all the way because I'm thinking that's what we might need.. lol

lizabeth of TX got it exactly right. If you want to see what you laughingly call education reform, put Perry in office. Legitimate science will be outlawed. "Intelligent design" will become the law of the land. All girls will have to have an anti cervical cancer shot (from one of Perry's cronies who owns the pharmaceutical comany which developed it). Not to mention that environmental and wildlife protection will be outlawed.

If you liked the mess littlebush and his cronies left us, you will love Perry

It looks like Rick Perry will run as his wife Anita has said... Go for it...

.... it is important for Rick Perry to make the changes in our Federal Government now ..due to the massive changes put forth by the current President.

The months are flying by and only time will tell if and when Rick Perry

goes for the gusto. But my sources say Rick will run.

With his track record in Texas showing number one in jobs and showing

the way to really cut the budget deficits in a State....

Rick Perry can walk the talk. Hopefully Hispanics in Texas will spread

their support to other states

I cannot believe the ridicule giving this man by those who support the pompous arrogant do nothing, 57 stater, awarder of posthumous merit of honor to the living that is in the White House now. Hey you know what, after what went on in New York last week, I think Gods about had it. Go ahead keep your barrack and of the good mean continue to mock! So sad

Being a Texan who observed the rise of George W. Bush and Rick Perry both, I can tell you that making both first Governor and then President has been the main goal and agenda of the religious right "pro-life" wing of the Texas Republican Party since the 1980's. And they have succeeded so far. Scary, but true. As for the job boom in Texas, that is in large part the result of ruling King Richard Perry's sale of Texas' environment, clean air (yes, they are trashing even the Western skies), and our most precious resource in this record-setting current drought: water. Millions of gallons of clean water are being drawn out of unreplenishable acquifers, poisoned and buried deep in the earth forever through fracking in the Barnett and Eagle Ford Shales by the main financial supporters of his campaigns and Adminstration--the oil and gas giants like Enron/EOG, Petrohawk, Chesapeake, Pioneer, Shell and others. They are running rough-shod over Texas, with Perry's glowing "pro-business" permits handed out for a price by the Railroad Commission and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for a price, pronto. Coal plants have been allowed to pollute the air of Texans and have destroyed thousands of trees in the process, including a 3,000 pecan tree orchard in Fayette County. N wonder the EPA had to appoint a special overseer to enforce environmental laws in Texas, at the request of many Texans. And this "pro-life" candidate who signed a manditory sonagram bill for pregnant girls and women not only refused clemency or even a delay in execution of Todd Willingham for an arson fire that 9 arson experts have testified was not arson after all, even as those records sat in his office. Further, he interfered with the work of the Legislature's appointed Forensics Science Commission investigating the Willingham case by removing the Chair and two other members the day before their report stating such was to be released, and appointing new members more favorable to delaying the report until after his reelection was complete. He still has no qualms about having executed a man for a crime that experts have testified was never committed in the first place. And now, he is about to oversee the execution of a Mexican citizen who was refused consultaton with the Mexican Consul and a competent attorney, and whose case shows, like many others in recent Texas judicial history, serious flaws leading to doubt of his real guilt. What knd of a President would he make, this man who spits in the face of other countries and their citizens--unless they are handing out money for his Trans-Texas Corridor, which Texas citizens protested and shot down through their legislature pronto as he violated Texas law to bring it about. Rick Perry is a man of no principle, a complete money-loving plastic-faced politician, a pretense of a businessman who is a puppet for those corrupt corporations who will do anything to achieve complete control over power in both state and national government. No wonder he doesn't want the EPA interfering with "Texas business". He might have to clean up Texas and his own act in the process. He is not fit to be Governor of Texas, let alone President. Haven't we had enough of this kind of politician coming out of Texas to Washington. Please! Wake up. This is NOT "True Grit" rerun time. Face reality and fulfill your responsibility as a citizen. Do your real homework and stop voting for the media myths that public relations image-makers crank out. Tune in to real life before it's too late.

DeeToo of SC - listen very closely so you understand, Gov. Perry is the GOVENOR of Texas and it is his current job is to take care of Texas and Texans to the best of his abilities, period. If Secession would have been the best thing for the people, and the state of Texas then it would have been his duty to move in that direction. But anyone reading your constant leftwing supporting comments knows you don't know a lot about honor or duty, it's all about how and what you “feel”, not the facts or what you think.

Bottom-line is that if Gov. Perry can do for the United States, what he has done for Texas, then he is the man for the job.

bruce b of NV - we are all doing GOD's work, so the more people running that understand that the better. There is something greater than you and his name if GOD. May you find him during your life’s journey!

... should RUN! We need as many fools as possible in the Republican demolition derby, and a fool he IS.

In Texas, Dubya is still known as "the smart one". They guy also has a surly, dysfunctional personality. Not only is he dumber than a rock, he likes to throw them. He's not someone who will stand up well under scrutiny. So, let's welcome him into the race. There's always room for one more in the Clown Car.

Perry will cause plenty of fun, and destruction. I hope we don't run him out of the race until he does a lot of damage. We already lost The Donald, far too soon.

I do not know if you are the one. I can say this, you are the first one I have heard that I can tell you are speaking from the heart. You believe what you say. There is passion in your voice. When I was very young I saw the movie, the real " TRUE GRIT". Our country needs a person with true grit to fight for our freedom. I Don't know. Are you the one?
