What surprised you most about the winners you interviewed?

First, none of these people in the book considered their work to be work. They don't have jobs. They don't have careers. It's their life. They love everything that they do in every way. Second, they're all optimists, and they all believe that whatever they achieve, the best is yet to come. None of them accept the status quo; they all believe in better. And third, their mind is always working. In every conversation, they're seeking the advantage, they're seeking to learn some new or better information that they can then apply to what they do. Every moment of the day, their eyes and ears are open to opportunity.
