Being called crazy by Robert Schlesinger is like being called ugly by a frog.

What a profoundly stupid article.

Stupid, inarticulate article.

So Pete of CA. I honestly can't tell if you are a troll or seriously believe what you are saying. The Director of Hawaii's Dept of Health, Dr. Fukino, has verified that the full birth certificate in on file at the Dept of State in Hawaii.

Factcheck.com even got to hold the original birth certificate and take documentation of it, you can find pictures of it on their site.

The official certificate number has been released as well.

Pictures of the birth certificate have been released online by the administration and the campaign, which were confirmed as real by several state of Hawaii officials and record keepers.

Onto your other claims. There is not a requirement to produce a long form birth certificate, and in fact I would hope he would have the dignity to not release it. The long form birth certificate provides information of other individuals who were related to the birth who probably would not want to be harassed by crazy media individuals who are trying to look for a conspiracy.

All in all, 1. US officials have confirmed the existence and legitimacy of the long form 2. The Birth Cert ID number has been released and confirmed 3. Pictures of the short form with raised seal and certification of health officials have been released. 4. He has been given a US passport based on his birth certificate.

Asking for anymore proof would also be asking to release names of individuals who probably don't want to be harassed by people obsessed with a psychotic conspiracy theory.

Once again you show yourself as a liberal with limited intellect. The "birth" issue with Obama is about his unwillingness to produce any evidence to confirm his birth in Hawaii. In the 1960's, up to 1972 when the law was changed, any Hawaiian resident could walk in off the street and on their signature (with no witnesses or other verification) and obtain a birth certificate. Never mind that the baby could have been born anywhere and brought into the State.

The only evidence to confirm if Obama was born in Hawaii is the long form birth certificate the State has and then has not possession of. Was the original birth certificate issued by the hospital Obama claims he was born at? If so, it would list doctors, witnesses and confirm the birth.

Or is it the birth certificate form that, say his grandmother, walked into the health department and obtained a birth certificate for little Barrack/Barry Sorento?

If it is the latter it will raise vetting issues. You remember vetting don't you. It is the quaint old standard that says the qualifications of a candidate should be reviewed to determine if they are eligible for the office.

The only vetting done for Obama was his posting a photograph of a short form birth form that leaves off the names of doctors and witnesses. In short, it requires further "vetting" to determine if Obama is a natural born citizen eligible for the office.

This issue is not going away. It will be here if Obama decides to run in 2012. The question is will there be a legitimate vetting process, or will there continue to be a government cover-up of Obama's past?

I'l use your logic but give a taste of the language of Bow Tie Bob... Instead of using Republican party I'll use Fred McCarthy of ID.

Fred McCarthy of ID "is cracking up."

Nice way to open up a real argument or debate wouldn't you say? I will give you my opinion free of charge unlike the "paid" for drool from this inside the beltway hack. Why is it considered "snarky" when you question the intelligence of another individual? In this "new age of civility" I have found that it is the liberals who are inciting the responses. If you don't believe it just look at the comments of the "progressives" in Wisconsin who support the unions. Do you consider that civil?

How about changing the word "GOPers" with Fred.......

Fred McCarthy of ID has," to various extents, embraced the loopy narrative that they are fighting an existential threat, not only to the nation, but to liberty itself."

Is that a nice enough way to say your kooky?

Jeff of WI 1:51PM February 26, 2011

Jeff of WI: A suggestions: give real arguments instead of vulgar language, derisive comments on the author's manner of dress, and recycled slogans on the media elite and the Federal Reserve. This would do your cause honor, even though I don't agree with it.

Fred McCarthy of ID 9:31AM February 26, 2011

I quote Robby, " GOP is literally going crazy".

Now to you, there are"fringe elements out there" in EVERY GROUP. Robby said "GOP". Nothing about "fringe".

Robby got what he asked for...

Bill Hedges of MO 11:29PM February 25, 2011

Honestly, I cannot see where snarky put downs of the columnist are of any help.

He has a point. There are fringe elements out there, which tend to detract from the bigger problems, like the huge national debt. Warren Buffett, clearly someone who understands finance, says the percentage share of federal tax he pays is a smaller percentage than the percentage his secretary pays. That is no fault of Buffett's, it is the tax code.

Medicare, social security and defense are all huge expenditures. Yes, there are endless charts and statistics which can be debated. We need adult men and women in Congress, and the Presidency, who are well versed in finance and can make the substantive changes which must be made. If not now, when?

Tim B of WA 8:49PM February 25, 2011

B.S. Bob Schlesinger wears a Bow tie?

Can you honestly take this guy seriously? Come on..... His head is so far up his a$$ that he needs a plexi-glass bellybutton just to see the light of day or where he is.

C'mon bow tie Bob... They call federal reserve notes U S dollars not the other way around. Just because you name a note a dollar doesn't make it one...... then again you are one of the inside the beltway media elite who just so happens to wear a bow tie. You must be smart huh?
