Healthcare Reform Law Repeal Would Be Inhumane

God also gave you a brain with which to think.

If you actually do it you will quickly figure out that this bill will literally BANKRUPT THE COUNTRY. If you continue to do a little more research outside of the liberal sphere, you will also discover that this bill is not about health care at ALL. It is about power..getting it and KEEPING it. We will NEVER be able to dig ourselves out of the fiscal disaster this bill will create. It was just discovered that 105 BILLION was sneaked into the bill to fund it without any congressional over. That's in ADDITION to the 61 billion. It is also FRAUD. It will make us totally dependent and at the mercy of Obama...and that's exactly what he wants. I suggest you get off your holier than thou bandwagon and use some common sense. The liberal mantra that anyone who is against this bill is WORN OUT. How Christian is it of YOU to make such comments when you clearly no nothing about what you are talking about.

Republicans are defending their own (the rich). Democrats are defending the rest of us. No more hiding behind of the guise of "repeal for the good of us all". A tree is known by its fruit. Callous to human dignity and selfish you are at heart. Greed and selfishness is your just desert.

that the Healthcare bill will reduce employment by about 800,000 people.

Yeah. That real progress for you.

Do you imagine that the poor "drop by" at a free health clinic and get plenty of attention, and expert service and diagnosis? The poor wait in long, long lines (even when very sick); the doctors and nurses, of course, are exhausted by the hundreds who they must still see before the day is over. Do you also believe that the poor stop in for a preventative check-up?

Most hospitals are instructed to take poor patients for any and all emergencies, but if that poor person makes a salary of any kind (even a minimal salary earned by those we call the "working poor"), that person may have to pay in installments to repay the hospital bill, and the person's tax status must determine payment.

How can you ever think like those who call themselves "devote" when religious leaders beg you to honor the Word of God, and you ignore His word?

1. "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’

Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?'

And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"

(Matthew 25.35-40 ESV)

2. "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."

1 John 3:17-18

And the word of the LORD came again to Zechariah: "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not think evil of each other.'

Zechariah 7:8-10

You cannot consider yourself to be a devout Christian or Jew if you choose to ignore the words in these Scriptures.

Bobby..

price out annual penalty against what you would have to pay if you has insurance..people will figure out it is cheaper to pay the penalty and have charity care for free..and what about all those people who could be on medicaid but continue not to enroll,do you think you are collecting the penalty from them?..Bobby,don't underestimate our ability to find a bargain..babble,babble..

Why does he play the race card on healthcare? He makes a mockery of King and diversity.

To Devin of MD. You sound like a typical Republican talking head. If you are fortunate enough to have health care on your own...good for you. Like a typical Republican you could care less about the sick, poor, elderly and disabled. I worked for 50 years of my life and paid for my own health care and when I had a stroke, my insurance company canceled my policy. And, because of my stroke I was not able to obtain another policy...due to pre-existing condition! How heartless and uncompassionate you people are. I wonder how you would feel if you find yourselves ill with cancer or other life threatening illness and cannot find health coverage....due to pre-existing condition. Then you would whine and holler because you would be on your own or not receive any health treatments and not be able to see a doctor. Whay hypocrits.

Republicans have had the last two years to come up with a plan and have nothing...absolutely nothing to show. You say Republicans are aking for change...to what... they have NOT shown any plan or given us any choices. We are the American people and BEFORE you repeal you had better have something better or else sit down and shut up.

The Health Care Reform Act, if it is fully implemented in 2014, will allow persons with un-insurable, pre-existing conditions to get health insurance.  Until it is full implemented, the Federal government has set up Pools for persons with pre-existing conditions.  These pools are either administered by the State or Federal government.

In most cases, in order to be covered, the applicant must have been declined for insurance due to a health issue, AND not be covered with health insurance for the previous 6 months.  In Florida, the premium for someone over 55 years old currently starts at $626.

We represent most of the major medical carriers for individual and group coverage.  We also represent a number of guaranteed acceptance health benefit plans which accept persons with pre-existing conditions.  These plans are not part of the government pool.  They range in price from $195 to $370 per month. Please call us if you would like further information.

Your argument against repel is poorly done. One example of this is your claim that 1.1 million private sector jobs have been created since the passage of the bill. First of all, how exactly can you say that these jobs have any correlation with the healthcare bill at all. Now, if you were trying to say that it is not as job-killing as the republicans insist consider this: we are slowing coming out of an economic recession where more than 10 million are out of work. A gain of 1.1 million is less than we could hope for and is not at all because of the bill. Next, your claim that repealing the bill will cost the Americans billions based on a CBO assessment is laughable at best. This assessment takes into account the costs of no longer cutting Medicare and no longer increasing taxes as the main costs for repealing the bill. The action of repealing the bill would cost little but, various pieces of the bill would need to be re-passed to save money. Also, the assessment takes no Republican bill to reform healthcare into account. It only claims that the money will be lost if the bill is repealed. Finally, I find it disturbing that you championed a bill that you now claim is open for debate and changes only one year from its passage. The examples you give to claim that no bill is perfect on passage do not relate to the types of changes Republicans are asking for. Simple changes of covering a bill for redistricting and adding public employees to those covered are not at all like that which Republicans want done. They want entire pieces of the bill removed and the bill to be fundamentally changed. I am glad you are willing to discuss changes to the bill now however, you should have heard such complaints from Republicans and the American people BEFORE you passed the bill into law.
