A new study by the National Institute on Drug Abuse found more teens using drugs, especially marijuana, in 2010 compared to 2009. The report shows drug use has increased the most among 8th graders. Of this group, 16 percent reported having used an illegal drug in the past year: 14 percent say they've used marijuana and 2 percent report having used ecstasy in the last year. Twenty-eight percent of 10th graders say they used marijuana while 5 percent have used ecstasy. And among 12th graders, 35 percent say they've used pot in the last year and 5 percent report using ecstasy. Here's the breakdown of teen drug use over the past two years:

No no no...we need to "legalize and tax orgasms" . Although nobody should be allowed to have multiple orgasms until everybody can have at least one and we should tax the rich multi orgasmic people and give the proceeds to the non orgasmic!

lets just do what needs to be done! outlaw orgasms! it is the root of addiction, the ability to self induce a rush of mind altering chemical hormones. i know ive been knocked right out by one. with advances in todays medicine and technology we no longer need sex to reproduce! if we outlaw orgasms people will not seek that drugged feeling that is so much a part of life! only then will we finally be able to keep all substances illegal. SUGAR is another white demon ive seen people on sugar rushes speeding 100+ mph down the expressway! COFFEE too no in fact all CAFFEINE! what about these new energy drinks with extreme amounts taurine, B-12,B-6,NIACIN???? ive seen people rage on energy drinks, also have 2 strokes by age 26, illegalize them for our safety! i live in a country where i need a license for both of my dogs but can pop out children as irresponsibly as i want, i can drink myself to death tonight but i can smoke a joint! im givin enough prescribed pills every month to kill a small elephant but its a 5 year mandatory sentence for a joint in the US. STOP THE NIXON INSANITY!!!!! we the people are far beyond the days of blind ignorance, stop destroying our own country with our own tax dollars. stop convicting people on all marijuana charges if you are selected for jury duty it is your right. send a message to our elected officials that we are adult enough to control a regulated marijuana market! for the sake of our future generations show them we can correct the errors of our way!!!!!!! spread the message

Among 12-17-year-olds, the gap between new marijuana users and new prescription drug users is shrinking. Between 2003 and 2005, the gap closed by 5.9 percent (Office Of National Drug Control Policy (February, 2007). Moreover, for the first time, there are just as many new abusers (12 and older) of prescription drugs as there are for marijuana. (SAMHSA, 2006). Prescription pill use and abuse, especially among teens, is an epidemic in this country that should not be overlooked.
