Three coastal U.S. states--which are also some of the largest states by population--had the highest number of incidents of drug-related and other arrests from October 2007 to September 2008, according to the Department of Justice. Those states are California, Texas, and Florida. States in the Midwest boasted some of the lowest rates--less than 500 arrests from 2007 to 2008. Like the three big states, New York also had more than 2,500 arrests during the same time period. Take a look at the graphic below to see where your state falls.
