No new taxes, cut current taxes, CUT SPENDING!!!

NO NEW TAXES!

Comment above that extending tax cuts to "billionaires" appeal to the emotion of fairness, i.e., the "rich" are able to handle more taxes. OK so follow this to a logical conclusion. But if you want to only tax "the rich" reinstate taxes but only for those earning above $1 million a year. Now you can be emotionally satisfied. Problem is there isn't enough in that category to make a difference in the federal budget/deficit. AND if you tax those billionaires more (they already pay 50% of their income), they will send jobs/and investments overseas or shelter it, or just quit trying to make more $. "Ain't worth it" Above $250K are MANY hardworking small business with a small number of employees trying to make it. Pile it on and they lay-off or throw in the towel.

When Republicans talk about small business they mean all of the billionaires who are pulling on their puppet strings and include most of major private corporations in the US.

This ain't your Mom & Pop concept of "Small Business".

Republicans are defending small businesses like Koch Industries, the gangsters who are funding all the tea party astroturf and also funding the GOP insurrection in the primaries that have ousted any moderate Republicans, or forced them to totally flip-flop like John McCain.

If you actually want to lower your taxes, then work to get some of the Billionaires to actually pay some taxes for a change.

End Welfare for Billionaires - End BUSH's Tax Cuts for the RICH!

SUPPORT RETIRING BUSH"S TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH.

The argument that taxing small business income over $250K will stifle job creation is a sham.

I can think of 2 remedies:

1) Pass the small business tax credit for adding new employees.

2) Allow the cut on Schedule C income, but fully tax investment and capital gains.

Raising taxes on what is defined as Small Business, where a sole proprietor reports business income on the individual income tax report may prove counter-productive in many ways.

Any proposal that may not increase productivity (employment and investment)

must be carefully projected.

Hello:

Let me start saying with all due respect that I strongly agree with extending Bush-Era Tax cuts. What's the worst economic issue that we are dealing with right now?

We have been told that the recession is technically over but how many are still out there without a job?

With all respect to others opinion, we will have turned the corner when the unemployment rate would become a decent one.By decent I mean a low one around 4% or 5%.

Until the unemployment statistics are not tough for too many workers we can't speak about recession is over.Tecnically? Yes;

Purchasing power of our salaries? No.

Once again I agree with extending tax cuts from the Bush-Era for everybody.

Why? Lack of Investments for jobs right now.

I don't think that the rich have to face mandatory cut taxes from the Bush-Era, but I do understand that those taxes must be for investments where there should be an increase in the number of jobs.

I may have dealt with this issue in an authorative tone and I apologize if I was rude but I put myself in the "no-jobs" shoes and the picture that I saw was an ugly one.

There is no time to waste arguing what to do anymore, at least that's how I see it . For me with out doubt The answer is: more Money, more Investments and more Employment.

This is the best that I could come up with.

Sincerely,

Julio Gonzalez Jr.

Extending the BUSH tax cuts for the wealthy would be a travesty & the Republicans know it..

All it does is to make more money available for those affected to contribute to Republican members of Congress and Senate for their re-election,

The ONLY tax cut permitted should go to "blue collar" workers who are being squeezed hard by the economic situation that in part was caused by poor economic policies under Karl Rove (The real man in office) and President Bush.

Personally, I would gladly contribute more, if it were not for the deadpan in office that supposedly represents my district & the fact that Social Security has been frozen for 2 (or more) years, this at a time when Medicare Part B premiums increased, thus causing Medigap insurance premiums to rise due to cuts in Medicare. This trickles down in the medical community which is being hard pressed to cover inflated expenses at a time when Medicare payments to both physicians and hospitals are being reduced.

Imagine the influx in the economy IF blue collar workers and retirees had money to spend on necessities, such as food, health, children's education and utility payments. (Not to forget TAXES)

I say those in Congress & Senate should be REQUIRED to live off the same budgets they impose upon the working class. It would surely be interesting to see how fast legislation were passed if Congress had to pay their rent, feed their families and educate their children IF they had a few extra dollars..!

Meanwhile as the top tier of wealthy Americans keep Republican written LOOP HOLES & enjoy chapaign with their steak & potatoes for dinner, as America goes hungry..!

Yeilding the soap box,

What's hurting everyone is not knowing and not being able to plan one way or the other. The $250,000 figure is a joke in any case; ask the small businessman. Of course, if you're in Congress it probably won't affect your standard of living at all, while the folks back home are trying to keep their heads above water. As long as people don't know what the future holds, the tighter they will hold on to what assets they have given Congress' approval rate, which translates to a vote of no confidence.

Jill of CA 6:41PM September 21, 2010

America has been victimized by republican obstruction and republican greed for all those things that will please the wealthy. Polling shows that 33% of republicans think GOP obstruction to the government is just fine with them. When republicans are dumbed down by Fox and other conservative loudmouths to have no common sense and no conscience is not good for the future of America. What can we ever do to overcome hateful republicans if they do win elections and do nothing for the country and nothing that is worthwhile.
