Dick Armey, The poor economist from North Dakota, moves to Texas and gets a job as a small college professor. Then gets elected to Congress, has to live in the congressional gym, when kicked out of the gym moves into his office for several years, because he dose not have enough money to rent an apartment, makes friends with several lobbyist, they buy his way into a leadership role, he climbs to the second highest position in the house Republican party. He leaves Washington several years later, a millionaire, tries to put the Dallas Morning News out of business (because they endorsed Dr. Burgess to replace him instead of Armey's son). Has been involved in every attempt of control of the Right Wing of the Rep. Party, from Christian Coalition, to Freedom Works and now the Tea Party. When people find out that these movements are not what they thought then they change their names and make another "Grass Roots Movements" Name to continue duping the public that cannot think for themselves. "We are taking back the Government".

ah yes after years of feasting at the public trough, with all the goverment benefits, now dick armey wants to get tough on goverment spending including public sector employee;s.this would be commendable if it weren:t for his actions when he was in congress.such as voting for trade policies that were not in the best interest of the american worker and tax breaks for companies that caused job shipped off shore.now mr.armey in his new gig as head of freedomworks postulates on how he;s looking out for the average person on main street.this raise;s sophistry and hypocrisy to new heights.he like newt and others of their ilk out to make a fast buck.

Still valid and TRUE: Tea party members yell "pride, charity, freedom, God, country" and then support leaders that send factories, money, and technology to countries that hate all these things (i.e. China). Tea Party members refuse to cut medicare or social security (don't cut my favorite socialist programs, I'm entitled to them! Even though I never put a cent into medicare part D!) while they yell "down with socialism!"

I'm not too concerned with you Bill, after all, I doubt you're REALLY an American citizen. Where are your papers Bill! hee hee hee!

Can you see Russia from your front porch! ha ha!

Same old same old comment. Repeat the same old comment. With a little update. Did you Daddy write it for you ?

I'll spend time making FUN of you but not answering your accusations...

Bill Hedges of MO 7:10PM September 07, 2010

REPUBLICANS: You say you're against socialism, but Bush passed Medicare part D (a huge social health care program). Plus Tea Party members refuse to cut medicare or social security (don't cut my favorite socialist programs, I'm entitled to them! Even though I never put a cent into medicare part D!) while they yell "down with socialism!"

The REPUBLICANS have shifted money and power to communist countries like China by opening their markets. Turns out free trade has made China a very powerful country and ruined our manufacturing base, but the corporations are making record profits and that's what matters. Surprisingly some republicans think that China's communist anti-Christian leaders will someday wake up and support freedom. It hasn't happened. In fact, they are growing more hard line in their anti-freedom policies!

Tea party members yell "pride, charity, freedom, God, country" and then support leaders that send factories, money, and technology to countries that hate all these things. Americans will have to take a 70% pay cut in order to bring down the cost of production to meet China. A Chinese engineer making wind turbines makes $7,000 per year! (and they're very intelligent and qualified). Thanks REPUBLICANS!

Now all the REPUBLICANS care about is getting a corporate tax cut. Why? So that corporations can have more money to invest overseas! Maybe they can build another factory in Shen-Zhen China.

Here's a riddle: What do the following countries have in common?

Almussafes, Spain

Nanjing, China

Cologne, Germany

Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico

Rayong, Thailand

Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico

Valencia, Venezuela (Yep, HUGO CHAVEZ'S home base)

Answer =

They're the countries where the Ford Fiesta is ASSEMBLED! Notice any countries missing from that list! Where is the USA on the list? Ford is an "American" car company because its headquartered in the USA. FORD HAS ALREADY CHOSEN TO BE AN AMERICAN COMPANY AND PAY "HIGH" AMERICAN TAXES. A TAX CUT WILL JUST ALLOW THEM TO OPEN MORE FACTORIES OVERSEAS!!! They realize that the real money savings is in cheap workers that will work LONG hours with NO BENEFITS and LITTLE PAY!

How silly of us to think that mega corporations would be loyal to America... It's ABOUT THE MONEY PEOPLE! REPUBLICANS, YOU'VE BEEN SOLD OUT BY THE CORPORATIONS YOU LOVE! YOU'RE TOO STUBBORN TO ADMIT IT!

It seems to be beyond the comprehension of many people that there are Americans who still believe in individual responsibility and the supremacy of individual liberty over government interference in their lives. These Americans have been working hard, paying taxes, providing for their families and pretty much minding their own business. In return, the government takes more and more money in the form of taxes to be used in a fiscally irresponsible manner. These same individuals have been essentially disenfranchised by both political parties and by the special interests that sponsor them and keep them in power. As if that were not enough, the government believes it is their right and responsibility to keep the citizens under control by passing more laws that violate individual liberty. Then there is the Supreme Court that seems to be losing touch with the idea that their job is to keep the government off the peoples' collective backs. The Constitution was designed to be a living document through the use of the amendment process and not through judicial activism, Congessional misconduct or Executive fiat.

I view the Tea Party as more of a set of ideals than anything else. These are the same people who were once called the Silent Majority. Although I am not a Tea Party member, I agree with many of their philosophies. Personally, I am tired of being taken advantage of by Progressives, Unions, Lobbyists, Political Parties, Socialists, Obama, and anyone else interested in taking away my property and my individual liberty. So, go ahead and take your best shot. Pretty soon, you are going to run out of other peoples' money and have to actually work for a living. And you wonder why we are angry. You can't really be that stupid can you?

Jim of MI 10:47PM September 03, 2010

The tea party is a collection of unhappy people (justified or not)who want (or, in some dases, do not want) a whole lot of different things. They are not a cohesive group as Armey wants you to believe. As a matter of fact, some of what they want, if they got it, would make other Tea Pariers very UNhappy. But then Dick Armey has never been known for telling you a whole, complete, unvarnished by his wishes, truth. He is a great propagandist.

said: "Why don't we demand our governement (sic) investigate what has led to our failures , why regulations weren't enforced, why agancies (sic) were not held accountable for their failures."

Answer: Because it was Bush/Cheney who were in charge. Remember the WMDs and the other lies to get us into war? How about those tax cuts which aided the rich more than anybody else? Regulations were enforced, in fact, they were lessened because the Republicans didn't want to hurt businesses, etc.

The only thing you need to do is look up things and you would see the answers. The Teabaggers are nothing but Republicans being lead by Dick Armey who is a corporate hack that only cares about himself.

If any of you studied history, you would see that it was because of Unions, you have vacation time, fair wages, health insurance, etc.

Pardon me, if I don't want your type of government where the rich take from the poor and middle class, and the poor and the middle class, well to hell with them.

Tree Hugger of CO 10:35AM September 03, 2010

I believe the issue here is not the Republican or the Democratic party. The problem is our overall government. For the last 18 months we have only heard about what the democrates "inheritated". Yet most of the people making that statement were part of the government that has allowed this country to get into the mess we are in. Lack of government over sight, lack of enforcement. Let's have more and more hearings and introduce more and more regaulations to further restrict Americans!

Why don't we demand our governement investigate what has led to our failures , why regulations weren't enforced, why agancies were not held accountable for their failures.

Banks have been bailed out with taxpayer money. Banks immediately report record profits. If you think small businesses are getting any financial help, you better think again. Banks will only lend to businesses with neaqrly perfect credit. How 'bout the businesses that were required to use credit only to have the banks jack their credit lines. Did we the people have anything to say on who was bailed out with our tax moneys.

Let's talk about the many financial heads that DID walk away with millions and their investors have lost most if not everything.

My hope is that the Tea Party takes back our government. Be it repuplican, democrate or independant. In fact maybe they should aleign themselves with independants and try and get America back on tract.

Michael of TX 9:36AM September 03, 2010

Maybe because they have relied on Unions to pay people to go out and rally, I don't know, but Democrats just don't have a clue what is going on in mainstream America. They have totally missed one of the largest movements of the American people in modern times, and I do mean totally. Because of that they are now one of the most hated groups of power-hungry people in modern times.

We went to Washington on our own dime on 9/12/09 and no one was there to listen. We raised our voices and they raised excuses as to why we where there. We yelled "Can You Hear Us Now" and only received silence. On November 2nd, they will hear us loud and clear. We warned our leaders, they laughed and called us Brooks Brother Suits. They wont be laughing soon, they will be stunned!
