President Obama may see his popularity surge--or plummet--after he makes a very public stop during his New York trip this week: The View. "This marks the first time in history a sitting United States president has visited a daytime talk show," says a press release from the show, which features Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg as cohosts. President Obama and his wife Michelle both appeared on the show during his 2008 campaign. Scheduled to be broadcast Thursday morning, the interview will touch on topics including the administration's accomplishments, jobs, the economy, and the Gulf oil spill, says the press release.
What do you think? Should Obama appear on the morning chatfest? Should he be spending his time differently? Take our poll and post your thoughts below.
