Should Republicans Take Control of Congress?

According to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, registered voters are increasingly critical of President Obama's work on the economy, and by an 8-point margin they say they'd prefer to see the Republicans take control of Congress. It's a clear sign of GOP opportunities and Democratic risks going into the 2010 midterm elections, with 51 percent of poll respondents saying they would rather have Republicans run Congress "to act as a check on Obama's policies."

What do you think? Should the GOP take control of Congress? Or would a Democratic majority be better? Take our poll and post your thoughts below.

You won't see any right-wingers trying to privatize social security, trying to impeach the president claiming he isn't a citizen, or getting rid of the Department of Education while Obama has the veto and the Senate has the filibuster. The Democrats should play by the new rules of the Congress and block all Republican legislation.

What has this administration done to personally raise your taxes?

Obama's policies and bills have raised my individual taxes! I drive my personal vehicle for my job and am able to deduct my mileage. Obama reduced the amount per mile that is allowed from .58 to .50 On average that costs me approx 100/month. Also the new health care bill will no longer allow (starting in 2011) using my pre-tax flexible spending plan money to buy over the counter medications. Both of these mean I pay more tax to the federal gov't.

So don't say he has not affected individual taxes because that is wrong!
