Why 'Feminism' Should Be Erased from the American Lexicon

Women do not have to be liberals, Democrats, or socialists to be feminists

Attempts to position American women as a victim class marginalize us. Politicians and pundits often speak of "women's issues," but there is no reason for "women's issues" to revolve solely around our breasts and ovaries.

American women are first and foremost citizens. At the Independent Women's Forum, our mantra is that "all issues are women's issues," from nuclear nonproliferation to financial regulation, education reform, healthcare reform and terrorism.

Call it free market feminism if you like, but women do not have to be liberals, Democrats, or socialists to be feminists. True feminists should be committed to taking charge of both their own lives and their nation's destiny. They need to shape the future rather than fight the past.

Given the gains women have made and the country we live in today—and the counterproductive agenda embraced by the most vocal self-proclaimed "feminists" of today, maybe it is time to simply retire the word from the American lexicon.

Feminism in the West has now become a destructive force. It is this movement that gave women the "freedom" to sleep around, abort their babies, cheat without consequences, have kids out of wedlock, and divorce their husbands for no reason at all. They also promote the depiction of men in the media as good-for-nothing fools. Most women these days are no longer desirable as wives by the time they reach age 30. Apart from the fact that they've slept with every guy they met earlier in their young lives, they have also done some unspeakable things with their bodies.

The feminist movement is also officially a hate group--pitting women against men (many of who are innocent and have done nothing against women, except for the fact that they are men). A group that caters to "girls and women" is inherently biased and unjust. While I can understand the idea of catering to women, because they have certain unique biological needs, just as men do in their own way (e.g. PAP smear is irrelevant to men, just as prostate examination is irrelevant to women). However, how do you justify any program that caters only to "girls"?. Why single out girls for attention when both boys and girls are our children and equally need our protection and attention?

The good news though, is the fact that the backlash has begun. Men are wising up, and avoiding to be with women tainted with the cancer of feminism.

"As long as a law mentions gender, race, or religion, how can it be equal; how can it be constitutional?"

Easily so: In the context of "shall not be discriminated on the basis of". How hard is this to understand?!

Actually, on that note, the MRA is guilty of the same offense. The only legitimate claim either should make for their gender is the gender-neutrality of the law. Beyond that, it seems as though the Male Rights Movement and the Feminist movement should be entirely social endeavors except where they have common interests, e.g. DV laws.
