"The establishment focuses on electability, the insurgents on purity."

That's great for business as usual. But now that we're on the brink of economic collapse because of the collective decisions made by decades of ELECTABLE idiots in both parties, it's beyond time to focus on purity.

Electability gets us more of the same - which we can no longer afford.

Paul has been called a bigot because that is the liberal thing to do these days. If one is for legal-only immigration they must be a bigot. If one is for limited government they too must be a bigot. If any high-minded liberal out there who wants to be the first to shout'racist' would listen to the Libertarian ideals they would understand that Libertarians are for 'very limited' government accross the boar, not just on the beloved race issue. For instance, most libertarians(including me) believe that the government has no place limiting who can get marries- including gays & lesbians- sounds liberal dosent it? Also eliminating the drug war by legalizing drugs and finally accepting the lessons that should have been learned during Prohibition. Prostitution, gambling, and all other personal desires are also off limits to government control. So understand that when a libertarian says that they dont want the government to control who employers can hire, it quite simply is not about race, its the limitation of government in peoples live. Anyone who actually takes the time to understand an issue before they comment would get that Pauls comments were NOT racially motivated. Whether one agrees with libertarianism or not, any fair or intelligent person must concede this point.

Rand Paul is living proof that the GOP Teabagging Movement is a direct descendant to the Southern Democrats of the mid and late 19th century who established the Jim Crow laws. Don't let these teabagging bigots within an inch of Nancy's house! Keep the congress Democrat in 2010!!!

If a man or woman who can endure the onslaught of a media that has an agenda and still come out on top. No amount of pontificating erases the fact that the establishment is worried and wrong. You know as well as I do that the "established" press and politicians are troubled because they are writing about it and yet have no clue as to how to circumvent the situation.

I will know that the establishment maybe right and not afraid when they let the Palins and Pauls and Bachmanns and Christies and Coulters out of their conversation.

This I also know.... they can't do it!

"Paul can answer forthrightly and risk alienating voters outside of the Tea Party, or he can bob and weave as he has on civil rights and look not only like just another politician but, worse, like an inept one."

Actually, there's a 3rd option. Go into a cocoon mode, wherein you will not take questions from, nor make appearances in front of anyone other than those known to be friendly to your "cause".

Sarah Palin did this shortly after being nominated (and having some disastrous interviews), and even refused (literally) to answer questions in her only debate w/Biden. This is the path that Rand The Eye Doc (now known as Silent Rand?) seems to be taking.

Are there any scheduled debates between Paul and Conway this fall? If so, will Paul flat-out refuse to answer some questions? Stay tuned, folks.

If all of these GOP'ers win it'll be because people weren't paying attention to what they were about. They don't even know what the Tea-Party is really about. The Republicans have spent a year and a half filling people's heads with propaganda. If you want to find out what's going on, you have to do the research yourself. If you do, you'll find that the Republicans are lying 95% of the time, or they're not telling the whole story. The Democrats don't make up all these crazy stories, but they serve the same corporate machine. If the GOP win, the next time around you'll see people crawling out of the wood-work to vote them out. Once they get a taste of the stone-age people will be lined up for miles to get rid of them.
