I Think if we ever had a world war 3 and there was a draft with a bunch of teens who played modern warfare. We would have a bunch of teenage kids attempting 360 no scopes and quickscopes. And camping not following orders and being little annoying kids screeming into their radios. But they would forget there is no respawning in real life.

I don't think that video games cause violent behavior, they can cause rude behavior, but not violent

I think the person who goes out and kill someone because of a video game like GTA (Grand Theft Auto) has some serious problems because its not the game that makes them violent its because they're violent themselves because they have problems. I play violent video games and i don't go crazy, like that guy who killed his mum and wounded his dad because they took halo 3 off of hi, like WTF man. People who do that has some serious problems and needs counselling.

Video games defiantly aren't a bad thing, just because some people(And by that I mean not very many) kids can't handle playing violent games, doesn't mean that everyone else can't. Just because one person does something dangerous that they get off of a game doesn't mean that everyone's going to want to do it. And for those very few individuals who can't handle playing violent games, it's their parents job to do what's right and take the game away from them. It's that simple. If your child is one of those few who plays violent games and suddenly turns into a aggressive, heartless, and somewhat dangerous person, then do what your job is as a parent and take the game AWAY. Just because your kids can't handle violent games doesn't mean you can say to the government "Violent games are bad"! Especially those like me who don't have a problem playing violent games. I can play violent games and not become "Aggressive" or whatever. Also, just because some kids play the game, doesn't mean that they are going to do what they do in the game in real life. I know the difference between right and wrong. I know I can't go into the street and throw a grenade into a group of occupied cars. And everyone else knows that too. We may be young, but majority(99.9%) are not that stupid.

How about the decline of the way parents discipline their children, and how they explain the difference between fantasy and reality. Lets also look at the other forms of media that are out there too, look at how music has changed for example. Alot of today's music is about sex, drugs, and killing.. Not to call one out in specific but doesnt Eminem have a new song having something to do with mistreating women? It could also be an underlying mental issue. What did they blame in the 1800's violent books?? Humans are violent by nature, we would be violent with or with out our games.. I play halo, modern warfare, and call of duty.. I have never killed anything in my life (except the critters in the road at night). I have never been in a physical altercation, and even in a verbal one I very rarely yell... I've been playing games since i was 4, starting with the old Doom on windows..

What does bullying have to do with video game violence? Video games are a stress reliever in todays society, not some way to get ideas for murder and chaos. Weak minded people are subject to it, if they attempt to act out because of some game thats on their hands not the gaming world, to be moved in that way from GTA, Doom, or Call of Duty that you go out and harm innocent people? it's not the games we play its the lives we live, like if you play candy land, you're not gonna go out and raid a candy store are you? No thats stupid, much like saying, "OMG i shot this guy in the face from across the map... i wanna go try that on the street." isn't the games fault, its the mind of the individual who played the game. If you wanna go on a killing spree because you got to do it in State of Emergency, good luck but don't blame the game, because in the end if games are the cause they will limit us all to playing that lame ass cooking game for the DS, or Nintendogs or cats.

This is a controversial topic of which there is not enough conclusive information stating that Video games in fact cause violent behaviors in children. Yes, there are studies that have been made that say children exhibit violent behaviors after playing a violent video game, but there are also other studies that have found video games to enhance and increase overall academic output. Video games are being targeted by concerned parents and political officials, but what about popular contact sports such as football and boxing. These sports are loves and seen within the televisions of family living rooms. Children scream and hollar as a player is thrown to the ground due to the force of a tackle and the saem goes for boxign but with fists. I believe that there are too many factors that play into a childs life that could also contribute to their behavior such as their parents, schools, friends, environment, and other forms of media. Society wants to find a reasonable excuse for the actions of every individual. Video games may have an influence in young children, but they can also be used for educational purposes, entertainment, and much more if developers can one day truly harness the power that a video game can have on child or adult.
