Why Voters Are So Angry and Incumbents Are So Scared

We give a lot of our personal freedom away to political systems. That sacrifice or that compromise may be arguably acceptable, but what is close to rotten and needing to be tossed into the refuse bin, is the insulting lies, manipulations, and hidden truths that the leaders issue forth in getting us to allow our freedoms to be abraded. They constantly lead us all into a prevalent lack of trust. They have been allowed, for too long, to occupy the base values of the con man. What a national disappointment - they don't hold a sacred trust for us. They first hold an allegiance to their personal power no matter what empty promises and lies they must state and maintain, while they play the "catch me if you can game." And even when they are caught, they know they're safe, for who cares, for lies and manipulation are commonplace. The populace has almost been beaten into submission in accepting them with impunity to the leaders. It would certainly be a good thing for the earth's peoples if political lies were no longer tolerated. The scoffing of this last remark of "What incredible naivete!" seals my point that the world is empty of a basic ingredient - Trust.

It should be shown from the top. We should ensure that the beacon is a clean light, not besmirched.

My friends, the problem is this. Americans are still a little right of center and believe in America. We do not want a radical shift to the left. The current Congress and Administration are forcing Americans to goo too far left too fast. This is going to "backfire" BIG TIME. Nuff said.

This writer is WAY to busy LOOKING for positives, to Obamaman's first year that he ignores the REAL issues. But, he is a voluntarily blind politician. I would appreciate if he could keep his very shallow, and one-sided articles from appearing on my monitor. It's bull!

As long a the American people can be manipulated by the best candidate or incumbent that corporate money can buy then we are in for more of the same. If shareholders want profits at any cost without concern for the American worker, future generations and the middle class then we will have more of the same. If our society continues to put

entertainment and celebrity above scholarship and family then we are our own worst enemy. The vision of a future America will be decided by the statesman, businessman and the common man. The model of such a true American was defined by the first President of the United States,

George Washington. It is a big "if" that the American people can return to this character and leadership model.

Be like George should be our new grassroots slogan to help define the future.

It is frustrating to see so little common sense in the management of this country. Government is far too large, too incompetent, too crooked and headed in the wrong direction. Obama's election was a response to an isolated presidency, sold out to oil interests and big business. He promised that which most of us want: open, honest discussion, more responsibility and responsiveness in Washington. What we got was more of the same corruption, limited if any ethics, avowed socialists and Mao-lovers in positions of unelected power answerable to no one except Obama. We got a Democratic party hell bent on removing any rights I might have. The leaders think they know what's best for us, nevermind asking us what we want or think.Their disdain for the American public is painfully obvious and insulting.

Why would anyone vote for any of them ever again?

Our country needs to be taken care of FIRST. All foreign aid needs to stop. All illegal immigrants needs to be shipped back to their country of origin. Our troops need to be brought home.

The infrastructure in this country needs to be updated, many of our cities needs to be renovated and rebuilt. If we stop the bleeding of our money, we can make our country a wonderful place again and make the lives of all citizens better ( without the need for big brother government ).

Much of our country is falling apart, inner cities decaying. I took a trip last winter fron NY to DC by train. It was the most horrendous, ugly scenery I have seen. Truly pathetic in this day and age.

I'm mad about jobs, jobs, job. Jobs moving to China, which may be economically inevitable because of the cheapness of Chinese labor, but the blind acceptance of loony-tunes economic theories on free trade is irritating. I'm mad about H1-B's and the cozy relationship of lobbyists and Congress at the expense of the working people. I'm mad that we're overrun with illegal aliens, Chinese spies, foreign criminal syndicates, and Washington seems to encourage these things, especially illegal migration. I'm mad about chamberpot immigration, but can't say so publicly because of political correctness. I'm mad about Bush saddling us with two costly wars over imaginary WMD. I'm mad we put the interests of Israel over those of the US and expose ourselves to terrorism.

"Today, absent the specter of communism, Americans have begun to apply a new standard of competence when they judge government."

Nonsense. Our standards are about the same. Government meanwhile has sunk to a new standard of corruption and incompetence that threatens the stability of the nation, especially the financial stability with deficits for which we'll have to pay the piper eventually. Government standards have sunk to banana republic level.

I'M MAD AND I'M GONNA TAKE IT BECAUSE I'VE GIVEN UP AND NO LONGER TAKE ANY PRIDE IN THIS COUNTRY OR HAVE ANY FAITH IN ITS FUTURE AND LEADERSHIP.
