Today, administration officials testified in a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing about the U.S. plan for Afghanistan, which President Obama announced last night last night. Top military commanders, according to ABC News, say that the plan, which would send an additional 30,000 troops overseas and would begin an exit in 18 months, will not work unless President Karzai's government also acts in cooperation. The president's decision came after nearly three months of strategy talks with military and policy experts, yet many still question whether it will be effective in ending violence and corruption in the unstable nation. What do you think? Will President Obama's Afghanistan strategy work? Take our poll and post your thoughts below.
