Should Texting While Driving Be Banned?

Proponents of a law forbidding the use of hand-held devices behind the wheel say distracted motorists are far more likely to cause roadway accidents. Critics argue that though texting while driving is dumb, laws against it are unenforceable. Is a ban the way to go?

texting while driving should be banned and the fine should be raised to $5,000.

I believe that texting and driving should be banned the fact that many people keep their eyes of th road when they pay more attention to the phone and that is what provocates many accidents.

yes. i am 17 years old and the people who text and drive put not only theirselves in danger but other lives as well. Driving while texting is dangerous and should not be allowed to do in my eyes.!!!
