Should Obama Send More Troops to Afghanistan

it is my believe that if we use our aircraft and drop fire bombs in the mountains where the taliban are living in the caves we could get rid of several of them. why should we worry about their safety, burn them and bury them where they are. I haven't seen or heard of the air force being used in this war like it was in ww11 or korea. it just might save a few american lives. even if we stay in afgan there will be a civil war so get out now and let them kill each other for us.

President Obama should be a peace maker not a fighter like some U.S. former Presidents. He should withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan. There is no need to be spending unnecessary money in that country. He should concentrate on the improvement of this country's economic and its safety.

My husband is a Marine with the 2nd Maintenance Battalion of CLR 25 (2nd Maint Bn). He is gearing up to deploy with the CLC taskforce 16, and right now we are waiting on this decision. I know it is a big decision for the Commander and Chief to make but I am sick of waiting just make the decision already. I can't even plan a trip home for thanksgiving due to the fact that my husband could only get 3 hours notice of deployment. So I sit and wait everyday I sit and wait and worry and I just wish I knew something already. Everyday I pray that what ever the decision that God is with my husband and his entire unit is he is deployed. I just want my piece of mind back and knowing is the only way that is going to happen. My husband signed up for every bit of this and wants to go. He is upset that troops he knows were killed Saturday and he was not there he fills like his job is there with his brothers in arms. I understand this, but I do not want him to go. We have two daughters one 5 and one 8 who make the biggest sacrifice of all and well I just want people to know that we need to stand behind our troops because they are all someone friend, brother/sister, dad/mother, uncle/aunt, cousin, boyfriend/girlfriend and the lest we can do is support them and the sacrifice they all make for us.

I am sure every single person who is saying “yes Obama should send troops to Afghanistan” are most likely not in the military, or know someone who is. Some people have no idea what it is like to be in a different country other than the US, let alone one that is going through poverty. I do not think Obama should send any troops to Afghanistan if he wants his country to respect him. People are dying over there yes, but the solution is not to send more troops over hoping it will all work out. Don’t get me wrong there are some people who join the military because they want to go to war and be a hero. Then again you have kids joining just for the benefits that the military offers. It is not right to start sending lives away just because of what one man thinks will happen. Sending more troops over might be the society’s view of what is right, but it is definitely not in the least bit ethnical.

If the man says we need more troops, give him more troops. After all he and his comrades are the ones experiencing the whole fight we should take their word for it and give them some more leverage.

I do believe that Obama should send more troops to Afghanistan because...What if the Afghanistanians come over here? What will we do then...SUFFER? Whoever is in charge of Afghanistan, they need to work out something but i have heard recently that the person who is in charge soesn't want to work something out...WHY SO STUBBORN? Hey, you do have to look on the other half od the story. How will others feel if their loved ones have just been killed??? how will the american public take it? HARSH or THE CORRECT THING THAT WAS MEANT TO BE DONE? It's hard to say because the young adults were the ones that signed up to be in the war and they're the ones who want to be there when they either win or lose, so why not let them live their life? then you think of something else... "That's my son/daughter or that is my best friend whowants to go to the war??? I've got to stop them...What if he/she dies?

PICK YOUR SIDE!!!

Yes,but heed the advice of commanders in the field. It is also high time the "millenials" pitched in ,as in enlist - it seems to be all take ,with no give.If Obama persists in casting himself as an FDR /JFK reincarnation then he will have to somehow inspire them to join -in light of his own lack of military service.

At least they will be close when Iran explodes...and besides..of they come back home there isn't any jobs for the unemployed anything let alone warrior.

Maybe they can organize a new community or buy a chevy pickup truck and a new trailer to live in after some follower of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad blows the foreclosed houses off the map and no one has a place to live...

Here in San Diego, the unemployed are fighting the illegals for a decent refrigerator box to live in down in the enviromentally protected canyons. The good news is the city and county are so broke because of Californias political left there arent anymore cops to arrest anyone...

Now that is funny I don't care who you are...
