my opinion is going left and right. on one side we should send more troops because of the peple suffering in iraq because of the talibans depression but we create our own depression at the same time. how much are you willing to suffer for them. now another reason for the war is the tailiban 9/11 now i think if we keep the troops there we will win and the tailiban is dead but have you ever heard the saying that the best defence is a good offence. so for me it boils down 2 1 thing will u suffer for another being if you can the war should go on if you can't stop the war now.

P.S you should post your comments and opinoins to better the world. who knows you might be the person that sways he person that casts the winning vote.

I BELIEVE WE SHOULD SEND MORE TROOPS TO AFGHANISTAN. GRANTED MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED BUT IF WE LEAVE NOW AND DON'T SEND MORE TROOPS OVER THEIR DEATHS WILL JUST BE IN VAIN. AND YES I HAVE LOST SOMEONE VERY CLOSE TO ME IN THIS WAR, BUT HE ALSO KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS FIGHTING FOR AND HE HAD NO PROBLEM GIVING UP HIS LIFE FOR HIS COUNTRY. AND I AM SORRY TO EVERYONE WHO HAS LOST SOMEONE IN THIS WAR BUT THE FACT IS THEY DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY AND THAT IS THE BIGGEST SACRIFICE EVER. AND NO AT THIS POINT IT IS NOT JUST BEATING A DEAD HORSE THERE IS PROGRESS GOING ON. BUT YOU KNOW YOU ALSO HAVE TO LOOK AT IT THIS WAY WE ALREADY KNOW THEY HAVE THE WEAPONS AND EVERYTHING ELSE DO YOU WANT TO FIGHT THEM OVER THERE OR WAIT UNTIL THEY ALL COME OVER HERE????????

Those of u that say we should send more troops are very senseless and apparently have never lost anyone near and dear to you. Two of my cousins have already died in this war and both of them have wifes and kids. One of my them has a 2 yr old daughter and is always asking "Were is daddy were is daddy". She is going to grow up not knowing her own father. You may not share the same sympathy with me, but put your mind in my situation or the child's mother situation and seriously think how sad and how that child's life is gonna be and compare that to how it could of been. Our involvement in this war should of been over a long time ago. Now we are pretty much beating a dead horse. The US having troops over there is causing more problems than it is worth. They don't want us over there and they show it by killing our troops that could be some child's mother or father, or that soldier could be the child of some caring protective parent. I say we pull out our troops and let them fight their own battles. And if their Military is too weak, then they should take after some of our training techniques then maybe they can handle their own problems. Besides, it averagely costs 1 million dollars per soldier we send over and that adds up quick. That money could be going to help our economy....What ever happened to the days when the citizens of our country mattered the most.. We must solve our problems first before we solve the problems of other countries.

Those of you that think this is a "Pussy way out." well, i'm sorry.

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BRAVERY AND STUPIDITY just as THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESPONSIBILITY AND KNOWING WHEN OUR PART OF THE BARGAIN HAS BEEN WITHHELD.

I dont think any of you are in the army if generals are want to send more troops we should because they only know what is happening in Iraq or Afghanistan and if we need more troops or not

Luke of NC 1:17PM January 04, 2010

My personal opinion is sending more troops to Iraq and Afghanistan is a bad idea.If these troops are deployed, the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee has estimated that it would cost about $40 billion extra a year- roughly $1 million per solider.

Let them do what they do. Drop the bomb then ask questions. We already have experienced many deaths because of the road bombs, more troops in the ground is like give them more opportunity to kill more soldiers with less efford. It is unrealsitic how much money Afghanistan is receiving right now, it just make more corruption going around. What about take care of our own first.
