Should the U.S. Send More Troops to Afghanistan?

Should President Obama listen to General McChrystal's request for more forces in Afghanistan?

In a confidential report obtained yesterday by the Washington Post, Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the U.S. and NATO's top officer in Afghanistan, stated that if the Taliban insurgency is not contained within the next 12 months, it might become impossible to do so. His assessment also warns that unless the U.S. sends more forces and quickly revises the counterinsurgency strategy, defeat is probable. Democratic lawmakers and the White House are hesitant about sending more troops into an already unpopular war. What do you think? Should we send more troops to Afghanistan? Post your thoughts below.
