Should Curt Schilling Run for Ted Kennedy's Senate Seat?

I think Curt Schilling might very well have the makings of a very capable, independent Senator , given time. He's certainly as qualified as Ted Kennedy was when he first ran for the Senate. Beyond that he would be a welcome breath of fresh air vis a vis Mass. politics.

Mass. has a history of so many "old time politicians" family ties twisted loyalties and pay off kind of people. Seems like it would be good to start off with someone strong and independent.Someone owing nothing to large money and power groups. If I lived in this state that is what I would want!

Qualifications? We have seen the qualifications of our current senators and look where we are as a country. The only qualification needed is common sense. Don't buy anything unless you can pay for it or have a program in place to repay the loan. Our government has proven that they cannot be trusted with taxpayers money and our grandchildren will pay for it. It's true we need new blood in the government with the only qualification of common sense.

The time for Massachusetts to change the road it is on is now.Otherwise it's heading right for Ponca Pond!Schilling has a good head on his shoulders & is an honest fiscal conservative to boot without being just an idealogue.

Just because Curt Schilling is outspoken and a celebrity (of sorts) doesn't qualify him as a good senatorial candidate. Massachusetts deserves the best they can find- not the most opinionated or loudest. He should stick to baseball.

If Schilling is Independent / Republican and we have rid ourselves of a Kennedy and the corrupt politics more power to him!
