As a 74 year old American, married for 54 years, four children and 9 grandchildre, it is my opinoin the Hawk Vice President Dick Cheney during his 8 years within the Bush Presidency, with the help of the CIA, brave woman and men in the arm services, kept " all Americans" and my family safe from terriosts' murdering us with deadly weapons.

God Bless America with the strong and brave, America will always be free.

Respectfully,

We have made every effort to adhere to the letter of the law while waging this new kind of war. However ,the enemy is cynically attempting to use our moral compass as a weapon against us.Theory is fine on the chalk board-it's application in the real world is sometimes problematic. What terrorists have come to rely on ,is the line in sand they believe we will never cross. For the enemy ,that is the point they start from.To be effective in this new theater all options have to be on the table . This week, Iran, the radical Islamic "Republic"( theocracy) make grand overtures to an atheist, Marxist dictator Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. In theory ,these two have little reason for this dog and pony show. However, both are energy producer. As such, they share at present the inability to refine crude on a large scale. But there IS something else .Chavez provided paramilitary goons to crush the post election protests in Iran. What is the reciprocal gesture going to be from Iran ?That is the "other shoe".This is an example of what our intelligence professionals have to face every minute ,everyday.Removing any of their options is potentially suicidal.

We need to make amends to our Wrongs doings, Dick Cheney confessed and should pay for his lawless activities for the good of America and the C.IA should also be investigated. I believe Most of the offenders probably thought they had the countries best interest at heart but that does not make what they did right.

Those who followed orders knowing they were in the wrong must also pay showing the world that we are not above reproach and we want peace.

I hope we are not fighting wars so the solders will have job security because we could use them at home fighting fires and protecting America.

Look this is all politically motivated. In my heart and as an a true American who is currently serving his 3rd tour; I beleive that BUSH and CHENEY had the countries best interest at heart. The problem with our country today is we're to busy trying to model ourselves like other European countries in the we are losing our Grass Roots. I didnt vote for him however, he is my Commander in Chief and I respect him But, his policies and Runaway spending isnt doing this Country of ours any Good. And thats coming from an Independent former republican.

Bush loved his country and protected it.

Obama hates his country and has weakened and divided it.

Bush had morals and an a stable American family with values and tradition.

Obama has no morals , no stable family upbringing and is not American. He is the Anti-Christ, the great racial divider, the socialist, the corruption minded Chicago thug who is Anti-American because he is not a true American.

An absolute failure that will even surpass the once worst president Carter as the most illegitimate and unqualified mistake that will ruin American for decades.

Whatever Cheney did it was the right thing. How come you liberal jerks are crying about the Obama failure in Afghanistan?

BRING HOME OUR TROOPS, THE ARE SITTING DUCKS BECAUSE OF OBAMA'S INCOMPETENCE!!!!!!

WHY WOULD KIDS WANT TO SERVE UNDER THIS AMERICA HATING ADMINISTRATION.

BRING HOME OUR SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN, THEY HAVE NO GUIDANCE OR STRATEGY FOR VICTORY!!

And we are still talking about Cheney with this fool in office? This is a joke!!

DOES IT MATTER, HONESTLY of FL 10:33AM September 02, 2009

WELL FIRST OFF,if we just sweep this under the rug, THEN WELL BE NO BETTER, than those who justify these barbarack actions, against our country..cheney has openly admitted to torture, and forget all the little guys, GO GET THE BIG FISH,CHENEY,BUSH, AND THE REST WHO CONDONED THIS ACTION,THEY ARE ADMITTEDLY GUILTY,and SHOULD BE CONVICTED AND SENTENCED,this kind of treatment to prisoners, OURS OR THERES, CANNOT, AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED....laws are made to be upheld, for ALL, NOT JUST A FEW,,,,PRESIDENTS,AND VISE PRES, CANNOT EXPECT TO BE FORGIVEN,CHARGE THEM AND CONVICT THEM,and lets stop the worst 8 years in modern history.....

Can't believe we are still discussing this. I guess it helps distract all the mess Obama and his acorn administration has brought on us in his short rein as a failure of a president.

We now live in the Obama anti-America!

This crap is the Msnbc nightly news.

Obama the FAILURE.

Stanley Stuart feingold of NY 5:03PM September 01, 2009

This is really nothing more than an opportunity to attack two groups Obama hates, Republicans and the CIA, while distracting America away from his own failure.

To use his words, this is highly objectionable.

Why don't we jus give'em to MONGO!?

Mongo Strange of FL 10:44AM September 01, 2009

It does,it did it will in the future .Who is kidding who? If this anti- American , on advice from his friends like Castro & Chavez ,has to OK interrogation of a robust nature to ferret out opposition movements in order to cling to power -he will.Think of Black Panthers & Acorn thugs ...
