Why Do the Media Care So Much About Michael Jackson's Death?

The current spin being put on Evan Chandler’s death in the press is that he killed himself because he was 'destroyed' by the lack of justice he felt his family received.It is naive to imagine this is anything less than calculated damage limitation, designed to deflect the possible questions and fall-out that Chandler’s synchronous death represents. Inevitably, Diane Dimond has been wheeled out to promote this fallacy and it is presently doing the rounds in teh American and British press. The fact remains though that Michael’s early death was not a given. Only the most imperceptive would deny that the anaesthetic that killed him was, in reality - just a formality. The unimaginable trauma to both Michael and Jordan's psyches that Evan's deception set in motion can be clearly seen in the consequences of the last few months. I hope Jordan will be left alone to deal with this turn of events. He was brutalized by Evan for much of his young life and we must have compassion for him. Whatever secrets are or are not revealed in the years to come, Michael is free now. It is his children, his family, and us, who are left who grieve for what could have been - and the great wrong that was done.
