Would North Korea Fire Ballistic Missiles at Hawaii? Why?

June 22, 2009 RSS Feed Print

Writes Casey Sherman: "According to Japanese intelligence reports, North Korea may fire a ballistic missile toward Hawaii around the Fourth of July. While North Korea's Taepodong-2 missile does not appear to have enough range to reach Hawaii (experts say it would fall about 500 miles short of the mainland), it does pose a threat to the United States and its standing in the world." If North Korea fires missiles toward the U.S., how should President Obama respond? And what would North Korea get out of it? Post your thoughts.

If North Korea wants to "test" its missile in the direction of Hawaii, this gives us a great chance to "test" our missile defense in a realistic scenario. After all, the military says it works, the naysayers say it doesn't. I guess its time to find out.

haha, you American make me laugh! Its like the whole world is determined to DESTROY you for one reason or the other, is it? FFS get out of people's lands and nobody will be a 'danger' to you! Live your own life, get what you can out of your own economy and stop trying to take over the world. That sure will solve a lot of problems, guaranteed!
