Is Bush Upset by Cheney's Attacks on Obama?

June 1, 2009 RSS Feed Print

Last week, George W. Bush delivered a speech in which he defended his administration's harsh interrogation tactics, though he stopped short of criticizing Obama. CNN reports: "'Nothing I am saying is meant to criticize my successor,' Bush said. 'There are plenty of people who have weighed in. Trust me, having seen it firsthand. I didn't like it when a former president criticized me, so therefore I am not going to criticize my successor. I wish him all the best.'" Bush's speech poses a significant contrast to Dick Cheney's recent comments on national security. Is Bush is upset by Cheney's outspokenness against the Obama administration? Should he be? Post your thoughts.

Many Americans are going to be scared soon when the realize and become aware of what it really takes to secure a nation. As if we can pass judgement thinking we know all the cold hard facts. The next year and the next few years will be quite revealing and hopefully as secure as they have been since 9/11.

They are both scared! Scared that they might get in trouble for what they have done. They both should be charged with war crimes. Bush and his personal war (to get Saddam for yelling at his daddy), and Cheney to make a few dollars to stuff in his pants. What ever happened about getting Osama Bin Laden? Osama runs free because the Bush family and the Bin Ladens are business partners! If it wasn't for this stupid war-the U.S. wouldn't be in this financial doom. Go ahead you STUPID REPUBLICANS-tell me that I'm full of it! I think that since the Republicans put Bush and Cheney in office TWICE, they should have to pay higher taxes than the Democrats.

Anyone who knows the inside story knows Cheney the narcissist he is/antisocial personality disordered person he is, thought he was the President and GW the VP, and had to be brushed back when he tried to head meetings with GW there. Cheney has no ability to see things as grey, they are almsot never black and white....he looks for information that backs up his already preconceived beliefs AND IGNORES ANYTHING THAT IS TO THE CONTRARY, AS I BELIEVE OUR BRAINS ARE WIRED TO DO, BUT OBAMA SEESM TO LOOK AT BOTH SIDES. BUSH WAS TOO EASILY LED BY CHENEY AS HE HAD LITTLE EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE AS A GOVERNOR FOR A STATE THAT HAD HORRIBLE RECORDS IN TERMS OF EDUCATION AND FINANCIALLY WASNT DOING WELL. HE RAN THE TEXAS RANGERS INTOT HE GROUND BEFORE HE DID THE US
