The old administration is gone. President Obamas administration is Who we are dealing with now.

But there is still agreements made under the bush administration that need to be honored. Except those that might be illegal. Torture is illegal and is not an option, I do not blame 9/11 on bush but his handling of it was a bit rash.

I do not believe President Obama has such a weak mind that he will revert to torture but he should be visible to the people and his intentions and policies should also be known.

I believe a certain amount of secrecy in our government is necessary but should be limited and monitored by the proper authorities.

I believe with A watchful eye by the people of the United States Of America President Obama will Protect and serve our nation and interest.

9/11 happened on the Bush-Cheney watch. No one was ever held accountable. I would not trust Cheney with anything. Bush and Cheney made this country less safe by their actions of torture, cherry-picking intelligence for their own purposes, and trashing the Constitution.

Why the hell would we want them on our soil? what is wrong with you folks that seem to want to treat these people like human??? If they did to you or your family as they have to our soldiers or their own kind, by killing and beheading, you would not say this and if you did, you should be strung behind a horse and dragged across 4o acres of rock. I am only 36, but I know now why people keep talking about how America is falling behind, it is because of people such as your self that have no clue as to how we Americans have ended up with all this freedom. Num nuts, look all over the world, we are living in a country that has freedom, and it has not been ran by government, the only people that want more government are the lazy ass folks that want a hand out, that’s all, you give me one reason why we need our government to jack with health care, or get involved with GM you can not give me a good reason, only the stupid jacked up reasons that the government has put in your ears. Do I sound mad?? Ya you damn right I am mad, my family has served in previous wars, and for what, so this administration can throw it all away? Finally, Gitmo needs to be closed, I agree, let those inmates loose back in their own damn country, and next time we do not take them alive, shoot them on site, if they are involved in plots to kill my family or my country, why the hell would we capture them, bring them to America and give them rights?? That’s just asking for trouble,

Where is the proof that the Bush administration kept the country safe??? I could also make the same assertion that merely existing also had the same effect. Cheney either needs to substantiate his claim or just fade away into obscurity.

The one that was asleep at the switch was the "Bush Admin.".

If I recall Bush and Chenney were warned by the Clinton admin. about a possible terrorist attack on the U.S. and that Bin Ladin was the one behind it. They chosed to ignore that warning, at the expense of our safety. Maybe they did because of the Bush's close connections to the Bin Ladin family, I feel those connections should be investigated, thats probably why they let Bin Ladin escape from tora bora when they had him cornered.

Then they proceeded to trample our beloved "Constitution" and said it was to protect us and keep us safe, but whose going to protect us from them?

They lied to get us into a war against Iraq which caused much more Americans to get killed than the World Trade Center attack. If we would have foregone the Iraq war we would probably been out of Afghanistan by now and it would have been alot cheaper for us also. Look at how much money we lost because of the Iraq war.

I think Chenney should shut up, he and his antics put this country in more danger than any administration has in the last 100 years.

Let me just finish there, because it makes me upset just thinking about the whole mess they left our country in.

I feel much safer now that they no longer run things, and we have a real duly elected President. God bless our President and the United States of America.

I live in Norfolk,Va. we have very secure places in this metro area{naval weapons station, camp perry and others}.

we can secure these people and put some of them through our court system and others may in up in some type of military system but it could and should be done. get this behind us.

I think critics of Cheney are far too confident. In Germany in the 30s Hitler won the debate over terror after the burning of the German Parliament, the Richstag fire,

I see a real possibility that another terror attack by either al Qaeda or an al Qaeda pretend to be, like the Anthrax terrorists, will lead to Cheney's claim that it is all caused by giving some rights to terror suspects, will take charge of the country some day, perhaps sprinkled in with a Rush Limbaugh's claim that illigal immigrants are somehow tied in,

Dick Cheney is evil incarnate. Those who listen to him and believe what he has to say evidently never learned anything about critical thinking in school.
