Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli states that the United States is not a Christian nation.

The concept of separation of church and state refers to the distance in the relationship between organized religion and the nation state. The term is an offshoot of the phrase, "wall of separation between church and state," as written in Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists Association in 1802. The original text reads: "...I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church & State."[1] The phrase was quoted by the United States Supreme Court first in 1878, and then in a series of cases starting in 1947. The phrase itself does not appear in the U.S. Constitution. The First Amendment to the Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

It was Judeo-Christian principles that guided this great nation to enslave and segregate people of colour as well and kill millions of the indigenous Native Americans, right?

America is a Judeo-Christian nation!

My dear misguided friend. Your comment is grounded is gross misunderstanding of scripture. May I remind you sir, Jesus Christ, from the line of David, the root of Jesse, was, is, and shall remain a Jew. You see sir, not all of Israel is Israel, and not all Jews are unbelievers. Nor are all Jews practicing pagan, liberal, or humanist. May I suggest you gain wisdom before commenting. to proclaim Judeo/Christian is indeed historically and Biblically correct. We are of one tree, that olive tree. Amen.

You are 100 percent IGNORANT

Every time you use the term "Judeo-Christian" (an oxymoron to be sure) you would be better off using the term Chirstian. The use Judeo-Christian betrays a powerful misunderstanding of Judaism and the history of Judaism in the United States. While I also don't agree with the central premise of the article, the argument would be better served by not trying to include Jews in something, just to appear more open.
