people should not always rely on the government to solve all our problems...if a student a a college has a gun he can shoot any person that barges in looking for a massacre!! militias do what the government cant, be everywhere at once.

first off there is no reason for a militia for every city, not one. second people do kill people and the number one thing that helps them do that are guns, so a ban on guns would be reasonable. yes, if someone wants to kill they will figure out a way to kill but it will be much harder if they dont have a gun and that difficulty will result in less deaths. and lastly you dont have the divine right to protect your family, its just something that would be expected of you, thats like saying god gave you the divine right to eat KFC.

why do honest americans have to give up there right to bear arms when half the crimes commited using guns are bought illegaly and the government cant do anything about it. you can put as many laws on guns as you want, but that wont stop crimes being commited by stupid people. and why does the government make it harder and harder to buy 9mm ammo, its redikules (for got how to spell it) more people buy rifle ammo than pistol ammo. why 9mm ammo?

People who want gun control in reality are asking for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the criminal, and that’s the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a forced monopoly.
The gun removes the disparity in age, sex, physical strength, size, or numbers between a defender and potential attacker(s).
The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old hoodlum, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunks with baseball bats.
The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.

The Second Amendment of our Constitution clearly gives "the people" the RIGHT to keep and bear arms. It also says a well regulated militia is nessesary to the security of a free state. Maybe we should go back to having a militia for every city.
I believe in freedom. Guns don't kill people! People kill people. If the Government wants to put a ban on something, why not ban cold blooded killers.
Kids who use guns to kill had issues that should have been addessed long before they killed. The Government cannot blame guns on all the bad things that have happened. If someone wants to kill, they will do it, with or without a gun. What will be next? A ban on knives and box cutters? Then bats and clubs? Then rocks? By then the villians might be stoneing their victims.
No one is taking my guns from me! God gave me the divine right to protect my familiy and myself. I will fight for my right!

i think that the Gun Control crap is pretty stupid. Just because stupid people go out and kill or do stupid stuff with guns doesnt mean we have to suffer. I like to hunt and go target shooting. and i dont want to loose that right.

All I can do is shake my head to people of your kind. Especially, in your Country. I hear it all the time from those in your Country that gun control IS the way and us gun lovers should stop saying this or that. Have you ever checked your Countries statistics?? Since your gun control had been implemented and your rights stripped right out of your warm weak hands, the crime rate has risen to new levels! I mean WTF??? Do you people not get it?? Obviously NOT!!
You will NEVER stop the criminals from acquiring weapons and it is a known FACT that when the crooks know certain people are unarmed, they will more likely attack them rather than going to an area that they know has a high rate of armed civilians. Just think about this if you can... if you were a crook, where would YOU go to commit your evil deeds? To the people whom are armed or those that are not? To me, this is an obvious choice!
Stop living in your tiny little box and open a flap and let the sun shine in and maybe you will see the light.

I live in a rural area and we are protected by the state police who are at least 22 miles away. I live 1 mile off the interstate and therefore are exposed to the possibility of a home invasion or robbery because of easy on and off. If some one is trying to break in and i call for help to 911 we would be shot and robbed and the suspects back on the interstate before a trooper even was dispatched. what is the average response time even in the city for a 911 call to be responded to????? Sorry if the criminals know your armed they will go to an easier target before trying to break in if they know your able to defend your self. Explain why gun control people have a problem with a home owner being armed against people who would hurt and rob an ordinary resident. I have a permit to conceal and carry a weapon at all times and I have not had to draw or even reach for my weapon but I have that ability should a problem arise. As with a beware of the dog signs I wish i was allowed to have a sign that says my home and myself is able to defend my safety if threatened so a would be thief or any person would think twice before trying to break in or try to assault me. We have an ever increasing number of national gang members and other career criminals arriving on a daily basis as proven with the police blotter in the local papers and reports. Its a simple rule...leave me alone and nothing will befall you. Try to hurt me or my family and pay the ultimate price. When someone robs you with a weapon the meaning is give them what they want or they will hurt or kill you. My response back is an equal threat. I am well versed with the operation of my weapon and well practiced with it and yes it's sole purpose is to ensure who I fire at will be dead and wont hurt me ever.
