Was Obama Right to Release CIA Interrogation Technique Memos?

April 17, 2009 RSS Feed Print

Reports the New York Times: "After a tense internal debate, President Obama officially announced this afternoon that his administration would not prosecute C.I.A. operatives for carrying out controversial interrogations of terrorist suspects, as the Justice Department began releasing a number of detailed memos describing harsh techniques used against Al Qaeda suspects in secret overseas prisons." The declassified memos on interrogation techniques are available here. Was President Obama right to release the memos? In what way will their release affect America's image? Post your thoughts.

Obama and his cronies are destroying our country, and they're doing it quickly. He has waisted no time in running up our debt. A 15 year old already owes about $35,000 and they're not even out of high school yet. This man is an idiot. He has discredited our military and the people who serve in the CIA. He has released top secret material for everyone (including our enemies) to use against us. He has traveled the world and bad mouthed our country. He is incapable of taking responsibility or making a sound decision. I am absolutely convinced he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. He probably curls up in a ball behind closed doors, sucking his thumb because he hasn't a clue what he's gotten himself into. The Democrats have really done a number on our country this time. What a shame.

How can he do something like that? All these people worked hard to protect us. He doesn't love America that's why he's doing all these crazy things!
