Bracket Stimulus: March Madness and NCAA Basketball Are Recession-Proof

In every depressing situation, there is always the need for a positive outlet. Our world, from an economic standpoint, is in a sever depressing situation for everyone. Even those who have not felt the economic pinch cannot turn away from the daily reports of doom and gloom. Thus, a distraction of competition and camaraderie is indeed a welcome break from the typical news for even those who traditionally paid no mind to the games. Thus, what a great opportunity, when spirits are not at their lowest, to market yourself to others. What I think all need to keep in mind, however, is the necessity to take advantage of every opportunity in this regard and work to reinvent yourself for the situation before you. You cannot simply look for those who are searching for one with your current skill sets, but adapt your skill sets to those who are looking, period! Make yourself a new commodity - separate yourself from the others in a manner that makes you different and more flexible. Find what is needed in the field and fill that void. There are always opportunities in every situation, it is the successful person who sees them and exploits them sooner than the next.
